A lot of the F.S.U countries look like the pictures in the OP's link, and the post about Deli is spot on. I think a lot of people living here are very critical about
pollution and garbage in thailand but have not had much exposure to many other parts of the world which makes this place look like Shangri la.
But that is not said to justify the garbage problem here and who wouldn't want to live a clean and unpolluted lifestyle, what I can't understand is why
no one has taken advantage of a very large business opportunity in the privatized waste management and recycling industry. Big money maker in other countries, why not here?

Happy Birthday Mole ! Have a good one!

And at 3 hasn't let up and is coming down even harder.

if IRS is looking to get more money, you should be looking for tax lawyer instead of accountant.

Thanks guys for a hilarious spy thriller thread!
As the OP is a bit shy on detail I'll assume he's been shagging a Thai bird whilst his family is still overseas...now the bird or competition workwise is having him over. Time for project X. The I don't give a fuc_k attitude.....show your true colours and let 'em know just how mad you are. Thais especially have respect for a true nutter.....
Best of luck.

The same problem will sometimes happen with automatic choke and your battery is getting low.
When your driving and slow down it just dies, most people would suspect fuel or fuel filter. couple minutes later it starts right up.
Charge your battery and will be good again.

Sorry for late response to the help, but I have been off-line in Singapore.
Some great informative / constructive replies, which is why I wanted to join Thaivisa.com forum in the first place.
Thanks for the advice; I will let all know the outcome although I doubt that will be overnight.
I think there are some pretty informative and well intended posts here as well but also some that make me laugh at
what their interpretation must be of expatriate and/or non residents.
Welcome to Thai visa by the way. don't mind the peanut gallery postings, most are usually meant in good humor then misunderstood lol!
I have the "Gypsy" rigging type lifestyle as NanLaew mentions and have had the tax issue come up many times. Best advise I can give is for any solid information you want
or any issues at all with regards to tax you should look to a good tax attorney before contacting anyone official (or paying any taxes lol!)
do not consult with an accountant, a tax attorney is who you want.
For advantage and disadvantage of expatriate life it all depends on your individual circumstance ie: what country your working, living, banking. etc..
The main advantage is the tax though, by investing, saving, banking or doing business outside your country and/or offshore you can benefit
from tax free asset growth and greater privacy.

I had someone try to convince me they had heard the USGS warned of an earthquake striking on a specific day in December.
Um, no, I don't think so.
I remember hearing same predictions last June, and of course I just laughed it off .
It was quite surprising because they nailed the prediction of the June 2010 Indian ocean earthquake to the day. kinda strange

First is near the 7/11 on the ghost road (99 end) and the second is closest you can get to bar Ice from the Chaweng beach side of the lake road.

Shortly past Ice Bar water was above my waist around 4pm.

There's a framing shop almost opposite the exit at Makro. Used him before and does a good, reasonably priced job.
This is good info, I'll check this one out. Wife was just asking about framing shop.
Cheers

Update:
Paris airport: 21 injured on Vietnam Airlines flight
PARIS, October 20, 2010 (AFP) - A Vietnam Airlines flight from Hanoi to Paris hit severe turbulence Wednesday, causing it to lurch violently and injure 21 of those on board, French authorities and the airline said.
"The flight hit turbulence around two-and-a-half hours after takeoff. There were light injuries but nothing serious. Nothing happened as regards the plane," a Vietnam Airlines spokesman said.
Nine of those on board the Boeing 777 were taken to hospital in the northern suburbs of Paris, while others were treated by fire crews before being brought to the airport's clinic to be examined.
Of those hurt, 18 were passengers and three were crew members.

Given that the turbulence ocurred two-and-a half hours after takeoff then I reckon they were somewhere over the Bay of Bengal. This stretch of water between Burma and India (sometimes Bangladesh) is notoriuos for turbulence. Just a couple of weeks ago I was returning from Bahrain on Gulf Air and we were crossing the Bay of Bengal and the turbulence scared the be-jesus out of me, breakfast was not served. I always dread this part of any flight whether coming to Thailand or heading to the Middle East.
I agree, I fly over the Bay of Bengal a lot and have seen some extremely wicked lighting storms and had many rough rides. I always wondered why everyone is so quick to remove their seat belts as soon as the sign goes off.
I also never forget about a story one flight attendant told me about a flight she was on were the plane went through some sudden turbulence or wind shear, food carts flew into the air
and landed back on passengers killing 3.

Worst traffic in the world... I hear Saigon is worse yet. I'll let you know if my opinion changes.
I'd say Jakarta is way worse. And I refused to even try to drive in Beijing. Bangkok is bad because of traffic jams, but I still reckon Thai drivers are better behaved than Chinese ones (or even Malaysians)
Go to Mumbai, and you will suddenly find driving in Bangkok is fairly easy.
Not been there for around 5 or 6 years, but you are right. As a matter of fact, after posting yesterday, I suddenly remembered my experiences there, feeling lucky to be alive when out of the taxi after trips around town or from Pune to Mumbai...
Delhi is also fun, can make Bangkok driving look pretty casual.

And I wonder how many seats will be available at that price?? Carn't imagine many. Someone want to wager it will only be about 20 seats or so?
I'll take the bet.
I can see where this ones going!

Hummers
in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao
Posted
I have an H2 also (all though it's been left in storage to collect dust in canada) and I must agree to it being the most enjoyable reliable truck I
ever owned. I would agree that is not a Luxury car but disagree that it is disposable crap, that's really untrue.
I haven't seen any Hummers H1 on the island or H2's which are both trucks I love but I would have to say are to wide to be comfortable driving here.
are the one's seen around the island the H3 puddle jumpers? i can see how they could be considered crap having test driving a coulple
