  1. Touching, brings a tear to my eye. NOT. You horrid monster go going, and leave politics you wretch.
  2. They won't be in any hurry to have an election any time soon.
  3. Good idea. But I have read on here that visas are very difficult to get in some jurisdictions. There was a case on here very recently where a British man was asked for proof of $10000 (?) in his bank account. He gave up in the end. They need to sort out rules which I/Os need to follow. Get rid of this nonsense where every immigration office interprets the rules in different ways. The only decent way of getting a 90 day tourist visa is to come into the country on a visa waiver then extend it at the immigration local office near to where you stay.
  4. AS far as I know, you can spend any amount of time out of the country but you have to extend your visa each year on or before its anniversary and if you don't your visa is cancelled. Note that if you are not in Thailand for 180 days or more, you cannot claim residency, which may be an issue for taxes in your home state or country. You 90 day report clock restarts every time you enter Thailand, so you don't need to worry about that.
  5. I think you are missing the point.....this is the beginning of the process. But take a look at forecasts for 20 years hence, and BRICS will be a much bigger deal, and if Saudi ditches the petrodollar (which it will), the US loses its ability to finance its wars by printing money. The end is nigh.
  6. Great news. Let's hope it spreads and the world rids itself of the weaponised dollar in ASEAN.
  7. Some are in my name as the registered owner of one of our cars. And it's overdue for registration because we are away from home. I'll send a b-i-l to sort it out.
  8. What you are seeing are the international evaluations which are used by major corporations to set their COLA (Cost of Living Adjustment) rate. These evaluations include the cost of housing and motoring. When I moved here in 2009, the apartment cost was over $14000 a month, and my car was around $4000 a month; the dollar yen rate was just over 80, now it is 146, (and one baht is 4 yen). There has been minimal inflation in Japan in the intervening years and so everything is about half price compared to 2009. If I divide everything I but in yen by 4 to arrive at the baht equivalent, the place is amazingly cheap, but then again I'm not paying for accommodation or transport. No pics of menus, I am in my living room, and I don't seem to have any menus lying around. You don't have to believe me, your ignorance of the prices here is your loss, not mine.
  9. I didn't pay my tickets by April 1st. Indeed I haven't paid them yet. Will they get me when I do the annual registration? I'll send someone else as I usually do.
  10. I am in Tokyo as I type this. It is far cheaper than Thailand for the vast majority of things you buy eg food, restaurants, wine, even supermarket beer at 25 baht for 500ml. cheap as chips as the Aussies say. Roppongi is a bargain.
  11. I think the police are using them to replace the BMW smart cars that haven't been used much for a couple of years. They are now called Smart Lambos and can catch overstayers very quickly. Watch out if you are from Liberia.
  12. Thank you for sharing your story, heartbreaking. I think you should look for someone else, then leave her if you can afford it. Even paying for a bit of affection is better than not having any at all.
  13. I don't think I would ever fly on an Indian airline of it was the last airline on earth. I imagine they bring livestock on board, chickens and things.
  14. The birthrate drop is breaking the trend line.
  15. If you sperm and reproductive capacity was damaged by the COVID vaccine or COVID itself, there is no guarantee that it will get better.
  16. Self-serving twaddle. Chinese are not coming because of their economy, not because of visa issues. Second, giving the companies in TCC more handouts won't improve the economy. Put money in poor peoples pockets, they spend all their money....but it's all given to the rich, who don't spend more because they have everything they could possibly want, or maybe spend it on a Ferrari or a yacht made abroad.
  17. Don't let the door hit you on the bottom on your way out.
  18. Many doctors and scientists now emerging in the US are implicating the COVID mRNA vaccine as the cause of this in the West. But Thailand mainly used the Sinovac vaccine on Thais, unfortunately for me, foreigners got the Pfizer vaccine, which poisoned me but didn't prevent COVID.
  19. Thanks Prayut, you really brought back happiness to the Thai people didn't you?
  20. I am heartily sick of people whop do not obey the carry on rules and airlines that do not enforce them. Who are these arrogant scum?
  21. Why do Americans or (USians) always think people should speak hope they can understand. How arrogant can you be.
  22. It's a good strategy is you support Thaksin.
  23. First words of the new constitution should be 'get rid of the politicised EC, CC and Senate"
