Security protocols have ruined cross border living. But then so have the scammers. -
More hot air from the US. They have already told the world they support the genocide. Calling for a resolution that will include heavy responsibilities for Hamas and not be lasting asking for it to fail. I hope the world sees thorough it. Biden's aides must have finally realised that he will end up in the wrong side of history and the US might be dragged into a complicity in a providing 2000lb cluster bombs and enabling genocide indictment at the ICJ.

PM urges MPC to call a special meeting to review policy rate

Doubly stupid by the PM. The central bank needs to be independent not a tool of government for political uses. -
Thailand’s democracy index ranking drops due to unelected govt
retarius replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The Economist is extreme capitalist propaganda and capitalists read it. Yes, some important people read it because some important people are capitalists unfortunately. Personally, I don't like very important people capitalists. And I brought the Economist into it because I thought the EIU (Economist Intelligence Unit) is credited with being the compilers of the Democracy Index. Maybe I'm wrong, you might like to read the article. -
NESDC adjusts Thailand’s GDP growth projections for 2023 and 2024
retarius replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Come on Mike, what was the GDP when Yingluck was PM? Was it 1.7%. 1.7% would be great for a G7 country, but not for an Asian tiger. 1.7% will not fill poor people's bellies or provide good jobs. -
Personally I never had much time for Navalny. Started out life as a fascist and then changed mid-way through as he was having no success. I think his approval in Russia was about 2%, about the same as for Pussy Riot. The question I would like to ask all the Putin haters, is why would Putin risk his presidency (the elections as next month) if Navalny was some kind of extremely popular Russian icon. Perhaps he was a total nobody and so having him killed would make no difference. If he was extremely popular as he is with the Kool Aid drinkers subject to non-stop western propaganda, no way would Putin have had him killed. It would have been too risky, as Navalny was locked up and he was no danger to Putin. Put simply, Navalny was a total loser, and you are wasting your silly tears eulogising him. He was either killed by Putin at this time because he was absolutely irrelevant, or he died of natural causes in bad conditions in a brutally hard penal colony.

Myanmar conflict may drive surge of workers to Thailand
retarius replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Will they be skilled workers? -
Rather silly. GWB (or the Vietnam presidents) were the worst president ever he killed millions of people unnecessarily. Almost as bad as Hitler in fact. This silly survey will not affect my vote and doesn't matter to me as a voter. I will vote for Trump if he is allowed to run and faces Biden. I didn't vote for him in the past....in fact I wouldn't and didn't vote for either candidate in 2016 or 2020, thinking they were both unfit to be president. The world didn't fall apart in 2016 unless you were a defence company lobbyist, unable to convince Trump to start another war. Biden is certainly unsuitable due to his rampant corruption and dementia. Trump was difficult last time and made mistakes, like with China....trade wars are not easy to win. But as I say he didn't start any new wars, and I will vote for no new wars and for settling Ukraine with some negotiations, not with more and more arms, edging us closer to WW3. If Trump faces someone other than Biden, I will listen to the policies, and vote fro the one whom I think will be least likely to start another war. If Biden faces someone other than Trump, I will vote for anyone who is not Biden. I won't be responding to any comments, so don't bother, but I will be voting in the November Presidential election for the first time in a few years. Now for the clowns who do respond, please address the Biden and Trump policies, in your response and don't restate to me your silly prejudices about Trump which I simply don't accept. Please address Biden's support for the massacre of Palestinians and his pressuring Ukraine to abandon peace initiatives in favour of eternal; war. Unlike the vast majority of people on here have actually met and worked with the man, I didn't like the guy much, to tell there truth, but can understand both his charisma and his appeal.

World’s second-worst deep-fried delight a blessing?

I can't stand the smell of these critters. -
Personally I would go for the most conservative treatment first ie the meniscus repair, or maybe even Platelet Enriched Therapy, prior to meniscus repair. You can always have a TKR later on if more conservative treatments don't work. Knees are difficult joints and TKR is not a sure fire treatment like a hip replacement is, especially if your post-op physical therapy is not tip-top.

I agree that Biden's leadership has caused a deterioration of the US's place in the world. Their endless hypocrisy, badmouthing other nations while doing the exact same things eg spying US faux outrage at China spying, when the US are the biggest spies in the world even spying their allies; banging on about democracy and then regime changing democratic regimes they don't care for; banging on about sovereignty and then invading Iraw and occupying large swathes of Syria and stealing their oil; etc etc. I for one see BRICS as the only possible salvation for the world. The US's endless warmongering and initiation of illegal wars is no way forward for the world. The US props up a vile regime in Israel, a regime bent on murder and the US are complicit in the potential genocide there....does anyone seriously think that the US fools anyone by uttering words of restraint and then supplying 2000lb bombs to be dropped in densely populated areas, killing hundreds? No, they have been rumbled and I, for one, and so glad that South Africa ignored the US's threats of economic coercion and brought the truth to the world via the ICJ. As for Iran, another nation demonised by the UDS and subject to brutal sanctions for decades....they are only doing what the the US is doing in Ukraine using proxies to fight their wars, so why can they not pursue their global interests while the US goes around the world rampant, killing millions, vis their own troops or proxies. And spare me the 'free' world vs the unfree diatribe. It';s iOS nonsense I left the US because no one is free, everyone os kept in an incomprehensible web of laws so that everyone tis at risk of going to jail or worse, if the government doesn't like what they are doing. And it is over-policed by a brutal militarised police force that guns black men down at traffic stops, and over surveilled by an out of control "intelligence" system that spies on everyone in the world. The US, a beacon for the world? I don't think so, it stopped being a beacon decades ago when the rule of law ceased there, and became an authoritarian wildfire.

This is shocking. It confirms my decision not to use mobile phone banking as it seems that every scam involves mobile banking. I have easy access to banks and am retired so I can afford to bank in person and not risk my funds being drained by a mobile app. My prediction is that 'the mobile app had a glitch' will become a much more commonly used excuse for missing funds.

Thailand’s fiery plight: 400+ hotspots spark concern
retarius replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Thailand is talking while Thailand burns.....they are not grappling with anything. They are calling meetings in Bangkok, like Anutin's meeting with governors to brainstorm solutions, there is absolutely no grappling going on just cubic meters of hot air from politiicians' mouths. -
Why not just put the 800K in the bank here? That will save you the worry. If you haven't got the money then use an agent like everyone else. You have to have income of 65K per month. You cannot send yourself 'income'.

Bye bye Electric & Hello Hydrogen?
retarius replied to eezergood's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Sounds like another pipe dream and scam to replace the failing BEV markets around the globe. I'll but an electric car when the bugs are out and the charging infrastructure exists and the pierce comes down. I'm not an early adopter of tech because the price always plummets after a few years and the products improve. Hydrogen will be much the same I predict....and what will we do when all that water vapour heats up the globe? Water vapour is a more potent greenhouse gas than Co2 or methane. -
But isn't that like how the US leaves almost everywhere? Was Vietnam better? They don't long after the people who help them like translators, and local officials. It will be how they leave Iraq and Syria as they inevitably will. Anyway, if the plan was so awful why did Biden carry it out? He must have thought it was a good plan to try to implement it, must he not?
