I didn't vote, because there is No separate Box for Chang Classic, why is it combined ? The other ones like Export and Draught are oke once in a while (read when they ran out of Classic) but Classic is the one for me.
Leo.
Singha (After drinking that I always end up with a Headache)
Heinken (Too sweet)
San Miguel (Oke once in a while)
Beer Lao (Prefer the dark one)
Angkor Beer (The Gold Can)
Edit: //
Forgot Archa Beer

^ I am an expat and I have a car (2 cars to be exact) but I (so do all my expats friends I know) use Baht Buses all the time around town because ..... they are just convenient, if one is full just wait 2 minutes for the next one and ooh I almost forgot, they are cheap.
-
Book your tickets out of here for next year now with any budget airline, as that far ahead tickets will be very cheap.

Please admin, reinstate MRO! His information has helped me numerous times.
An email has been sent by the Site Admin to MRO's registered email address to help in resetting his password . I don't know if they sent it with a Thaivisa address or ...
Lets wait and see, else if MRO reads this please contact support [at] thaivisa.com and they can help reset your password.

It seems that a statistically significant proportion of TV posters are mathematically challenged sheep. There has never been nor there will ever be 10 days of Songkran in Pattaya.
1. Full scale terror: 1 day, 19th. 2. Localized mayhem: 2 days, 18-19th.
3. Inconvenience to visit central Pattaya: 6 days, 14-19th
4. Inconvenience to visit Beach Rd Soi 7-8: 8 days, 12-19th
.....
I agree, but you have to add some more Sois to Nr 4. (For example Soi Half a Dozen, Soi Buakow). And it also started in those area's late afternoon on the 11th.

12-19 i count 8 days
for those who want to come back:
HOW DOES IT LOOK TODAY THE 20TH?
thanks
It did technically start on the 11th but you would have to have serious issues if you count that as a "terror day". Even the 12th - 14th was only in very concentrated areas that most could avoid easily.
The real "terror days" (as they say) is surely only 16th - 19th.
But even the 12th - 14th can be terror days if you need to be in those area's

^ I would guess that on the 19th they (Highway Patrol) have setup checkpoints on the Major Highways (3,36,7) out of Pattaya.
As in town it was just all hands on deck.

Okay, how about any office in Pattaya that offers translation services? As I am unfamiliar with the area, help most appreciated!
I was thinking of the British consulate but they don't offer translation services do they? MFA in Bangkok not necessary but the company that does the translation must be registered as offering translation services.
Thanks
I have used a company in Soi Post Office (Soi 13/2 of Beach Road) but I can't remember the name.
A quick search came up with this other company
-
How official does it need to be?
British consulate will do it I think if it needs to be officially official.
Isn't it what makes it official the stamp you get from The Min. of Foreign Affairs in BKK ?

I voted 3 days, because that's just enough 10 days is too g*dam_n_long

I must say after reading some of the posts I'm a bit confused here.
MRO/ORM has said that he is having difficulty with password/dual account issues, whilst some posters are of the opinion he has been banned for some other reason.
Does anybody know?
I always thought his posts were informative, balanced and definitely not provocative.
It seems odd.
Thanks for reading.
He can't access his password anymore for his original account (MRO), emails that are being sent to reset his password don't reach him because TV's email address is on some sort of a block list.
Because of that he opened another account (ORM) but it's TV policy that you can't have more then 1 account, so that account is now banned.
Hopefully admin can privately email him with his MRO password.
I already asked the Question, "How can you reset your password when you lose access to your email" in the Forum Support Desk.

Welcome back MRO did you get banned and came back in disguise
Nothing quite so dramatic I'm afraid: http://www.thaivisa....s/#entry5229584
P.S. I'll fix this list tomorrow, quite a few changes I can see I've missed
P.P.S. Who knows, I could actually get myself banned yet though - forum rules state you're not allowed to have more than one account, but <deleted> are you meant to do when any decent email server bounces TV emails back into the ether?
I guess it's ORM now...welcome back...and maybe we start with the tire pressure(just kidding)
Looks like welcome back and goodbye.
Look up his alias and you will see that he is banned.
Please give your support here.

Isn't so that pets are better friends to a human being then other human beings ??
That's pretty sad that your idea of good friend is an animal. Once Tommo stops functioning that's about all he's going to get too.
Animals at least don't wanna go out during Songkran and get drunk !
-
I'm telling you, I want companionship more than sex and I'm not lying so please stop your arrogant one shoe fits all nonsense.
I did state, 'assuming functioning equipment'
May I also suggest you buy a dog, a truly faithful and loyal companion.
I would second that, this is why i have 3 dogs and 4 cats-never lonely and never boring. Many times they(pets) make more sense than a Thai girl
Welll,.......... at least when they do not listen. i can not get angry because they just pets, Still trying to figure out HER excuse for not listening

any man that marries a bar girl or opens a business involving large quantities of money has to be slightly stupid or just intellectually challenged.
sorry to be so crude, but u really have to be brainless to get involved by these "women"
som nom na
Couldn't it be that the farang that gets involved with these women is just rich ??

Hopefully a Moderator is reading these posts by MRO/ORM and can assist him with his accounts, as like many of you I enjoy his input.
Cheers
Woodsie
Hear Hear, Mro/Orm is the closest thing to a local Moderator (I mean in this context someone with real knowledge and not a person who weeds and cuts) we have in this Subforum. Please Thaivisa do give him some consideration.

Easy.
Number 2 please.
Buzzzzz, trim, buzzzzzzz.
50 Baht.
All over Pattaya.
Lovely.
It must be a couple of months since you had your haircut Dingo, as it's at least 60-70 THB nowadays.

^ Excuse me guys for interrupting, but has the OP been back since he posted this ? Maybe it was just a elaborate hoax to promote a website.

Today the 19th is usually the Big Day and should be the Last day.
Today is the BIG DAY and will be the last day. It doesn't go on much past sunset either, so you'll be able to go out dry tonight.
My wife is out on Beach Road and Walking Street going crazy right now while I'm relaxing at home. She said it is better I stay home as I may get into a fight - and she's probably right - there's a lot of drunk people in town
It's for young people and drunks as far as I'm concerned.
Tropo you and I are in the same situation, the wife is also somewhere around town enjoying it while I'm trying to sort out my Music collection. I'm more then happy with this. This is just the way the cookie crumbles for us.

I wouldn't worry too much. 19th --- then it is OVER.Yes, we know the Nation got it wrong, but the question is, maybe some people actually read the Nation and BELIEVED what they wrote?
I sincerely hope they do not, as I have a nite on the town planned with my wife tomorrow evening.
Thank god it's Friday the 20th

Well according to post #71 Jingthing it says “ On April 20, Pattaya beach road will be closed to pave the way for the Buddha procession. Afterwards, young people go gunning for fun armed with double-barrel water cannons and buckets, ensuring the beach town gets totally soaked. Among the more courageous "roadside warriors" are the transvestites who turn up in super-tight T-shirts clamouring for more water.”
JT was quoting in that post the Nation. Today the 19th is usually the Big Day and should be the Last day.
Here is that post:
Well, today's the 11th. On your marks ...
Here's a fresh Pattaya Songkran date kerfuffle from THE NATION:
PATTAYAPattaya folk celebrate Songkran a week later though you can still expect to get wet over the next three days. On April 20, Pattaya beach road will be closed to pave the way for the Buddha procession. Afterwards, young people go gunning for fun armed with double-barrel water cannons and buckets, ensuring the beach town gets totally soaked. Among the more courageous "roadside warriors" are the transvestites who turn up in super-tight T-shirts clamouring for more water.
The big day is the 19th, correct? Not the 20th. It's a large enough string of potential soaking days without adding another one, yes?
