How much are you wanting to pay?

I know of a certain person who gets 9 week sick notes for what basically is a nonsence illness / injury and comes back to thailand every eight weeks but surely he is not doing anything wrong only maybee manipulating the system, it makes my blood boil and he knows it as the huge business taxes i pay in the uk are funding his long time holiday

Can I ask the "hang 'em high brigade" what does throwing somebody in jail actually achieve?

I'm all for people abiding by the rules and I have no time for those who have such a disregard the Immigration Laws, but simply throwing people in jail for overstaying seems very vindictive to me.

Lets all take drugs here then , is that vindictive also to put you in jail for breaking the law ? SAME SAME, rules are rules regardless . I dont agree with many laws but if they are there and are broken , you pay the penalty.

Putting someone in jail is for breaking the law and should teach you not to do it again , its also a deterrent for others not to break the law.

Go home and break the law there, not here, it can be nasty in jail here.

The problem was that you were accusing people who didn't pay 20 baht as being cheap. We don't all share your sentiments toward baht bus drivers, pure and simple.

Nightmare scenario

Mine has double sided tape on the dash had no probs with it.

There is a house next door to me Thai owned but never been lived in there has been no canges to the house since the builders left it when it was finished and has now been up for sale for 3 or more years.They can not sell it simply because they want 2m baht more than they payed for it which seems to be a regular occurence at the moment. Properties will sell if they are the right price otherwise they will just add to the ever growing market of rentals where owners are getting basically peanuts a month due to the sheer size of the rental market. I know of expats who rent 3 bed houses for less than 10k a month.

The bi weekly market on soi bukao sells them ive seen them, they also do other light head garments such as head scarves & bandanas.

there is an Israeli restaurant on Soi LK metro. you might try this place

Bubba1, do you ever say anything half decent about Thailand or the Thais from reading your posts i would think not. I have had a house in Thailand for years and a business pretty much the same without any problems, the inlaws have been nothing but great with me and im sure i cant be the only one.

I accept some people have been duped, but you will find that most have not unless they are trying to live a pipe dream thinking that life over here is the same as a two week holiday in pattaya.

I would be intrested to know where your knowledge of Thailand comes from and your continued connection with the country is mate, are you married and living here?

i just hope that oneday this thread can help other people, that are in the same boat as me right now, re cost of divorce, how to do it, and how long for divorce, what the court said and order, police side of things, to help one of us not breaking the law, and so on,

A foreigner can't own land without having a Thai person involved. Not a very smart thing.
