  1. "This has raised concerns about the accuracy of life expectancy estimates, particularly as Ms. Leadbeater’s bill may define terminal illness as having a prognosis of six to 12 months."
  2. Of course prognosis is not an exact science. Everyone should have the right to choose to end their own life once they have a terminal illness, regardless of how long doctors predict they will have to suffer.
  3. A fraction of the vast sums of money wasted on pointless wars which are threatening our survival as a species.
  4. Put these eco-fascists in jail and throw away the key! And take away their iPhones (mostly made of oil).
  5. He's talking bollux, as usual.
  6. "Anything that can't grow anymore will decay and die. The EU can't grow anymore. It will die." The ultimate goal of any bureaucracy is expansion of its own power. The EU seems to have reached 'peak power grab', any new attempts to extends its tentacles will be rebuffed by member states. I don't think it will die, It will ensure its own survival in a different form. Perhaps, as suggested above, we might even go back to a common market!
  7. "the European Union (EU) is increasingly adopting a more closed and ethnocentric understanding of “Europeanness,” What the EU doesn't understand is that to preserve Europeanness you have to keep Europe European (Viktor Orban gets it).
  8. More than likely before the next general election, although you won't hear any discussion of the subject in the corporate media. For a foretaste of this exact scenario in another European country read Michel Houllebeq's 'Submission'.
  9. Might help if the article explained what the constitutional amendments are and how they benefit Thaksin before everyone jumps to conclusions.
  10. The article is by Suella Braverman, a former government minister, who has bravely stood up for the victims throughout this sordid affair. Unlike the cowardly media, she has the courage to call them what they are - Pakistani men.
  11. Didn't he make enough money from the last one?
  12. Completely agree. The people there have accepted a deal - limited democracy, press freedom, political parties etc. - in exchange for a very high standard of living and sound government. Nothing wrong with that.... and it works.
  13. I agree that the Singapore model is a good one (as long as those doing the 'guiding' remain competent, benevolent and uncorrupted). But the whole point is that they don't do 'free, independent elections' as anyone who's lived there for any length of time can testify. Same party in power for sixty years.
  14. Isn't that an oxymoron? If it's decided by free, independent elections it's a democracy.
  15. Hungary, which has long faced criticism for its strict stance on migration, issued a scathing statement regarding Germany's new border measures. "Funny how a few years—and a migration crisis—can change minds, isn’t it?" remarked Hungarian government spokesperson Zoltan Kovacs, pointing to the irony of Germany now adopting stricter border policies similar to those it once criticized. Typical EU hypocrisy. The EU’s Dublin Regulation is a dead duck, witness the huge numbers seeking asylum in the UK having passed through half a dozen safe countries to get there.
  16. The event underscored the deadly risks that many migrants face as they seek new opportunities in try to illegally force their way into Europe.
  17. They will do, or be forced to admit the dreaded 'hard right' parties into power. The rise of the NR in France and the Afd in Germany is not an accident. It's the people expressing their frustration at the elites ignoring the majority view on immigration for far too long.
  18. It will come, when the uniparty elites are forced to start listening to the people instead of imposing their own warped views of what society should be.
  19. Your posting history speaks otherwise. Hoist on your own petard? I could accuse you of being left wing but I wouldn't because I respect other people's opinions, even if I disagree with them.
  20. So it's a hate crime now to be 'right wing' is it?
  21. Same mindset as doing the lottery.
  22. When political BS gets smacked in the face by reality.
