  1. Wearing a mask is a personal choice. There's no evidence it actually reduces transmission, other than possibly indoors in confined spaces. Personally I treat anything any government tells me with a healthy dose of scepticism.
  2. Still not got it. He is giving advice to 100% of the people to avoid becoming one of the 1%.
  3. No, he means 99% of people who end up in hospital and die from it are.
  4. Why would it? Covid insurance is issued in Thailand.
  5. Yes there is. Unless you focus on one single virus and ignore all the collaterall damage, unintended consequences and destruction of peoples' lives and livelihoods caused by the response, not the virus itself. Suicides, mental health, increase in drugs and alcoholism, untreated cancers and other diseases. History will judge whether it's all been worth it.
  6. It's not just a Thai thing. Very few of the Covid rules and regulations that governments around the world have invented on the hoof make any sense. A couple of examples from the UK. During lockdowns, golf courses were closed - just about the only place you could safely exercise without coming within a hundred yards of any other human being. Also stores selling "non-essential" items. Similar nonsense to what the OP has pointed out, you could even go into a supermarket to buy food but all "non-essential" shelves were covered up. Like the virus can distinguish between them!
