No need to make lease payments on all of the commercial planes leased by the Russian airlines. Putin essentially nationalized all of the airliners being leased from foreign lessors. They'll be used only on domestic routes in order to avoid seizure. Those lessors are going to have some massive write-offs.

This is not the issue, maintenance will be the biggest problem as it is (currently) illegal to supply parts for said planes - this will then impact safety

I know nothing about wine, rarely drink the stuff and after two glasses, regardless of the quality, it'll taste like vinegar to me.

Nonetheless, I'm willing to share my fool-proof method of buying wine where you always end up with a good tasting, value for money wine, regardless of the grape variety.

First, I look for a middle priced wine. Not the cheap stuff and not the most expensive.

Then, I look in the Chilean and Argentinian wine section and buy the bottle with the prettiest label.

This method has always stood me well, in the past.

Given your admission of ignorance & lack of palate sensitivity, your fool proof method would most likely yield the same results regardless.........

That said I like your spirited approach, pot luck be thy companion

Something I forgot to mention, is that in the very same shop I came across a 2 L cardboard cask, labelled, "Cooking Wine" and it was a South African red wine from "The Old Town" producers, so being intrigued, I looked at the cask.

Nowhere on it could I see any details about the wine, grape varieties, alcohol content and suchlike, because I was intrigued at something being labelled "Cooking Wine", this especially as what little description was on the side of the cask, did state that consumers would enjoy its "drinkability" – – this from a cooking wine??

At about 350 baht for 2 L, it wasn't expensive, but something like this shows that there is a huge "nonsense" regarding wines produced here and also imported to Thailand. It is either a cooking wine or a drinking wine, and if it wasn't a good quality enough wine to drink, then you certainly shouldn't cook with it, and that leads onto the Montclair type plastic containers where the producer seems to have "inadvertently" left off the fact that it is a fruit wine!

Later, I checked online about the "Cooking Wine" and it is indeed a fruit wine.

It seems that despite Thailand trying to lift its game with regards to many things, it still falls short on the "correct" labelling and "policing" of something simple like wine, but then again perhaps it helps the "rich and powerful" get away with implementing their own rules.

Due to taxation - drinking wine is taxed higher, also the fruit wine loophole is disappearing

It is not adjustable.  If I do toe stands then it is bearable for a minute or two.  I find it hard to stand straight up while holding on to a oversize couch back support.  I'll experiment.

start by using a book - these are readily available & easily adjustable, also look to to the opposite, essentially toe raises with your heels on the ground

So do I.  This is about storing it for some days, not just eating it.

Ive done this (many) multiple times, cooking salmon (100's of kg at a time) in advance & serving the next day or even 36 hrs later - again these cold cabinets & rooms we call refrigerators are amazing.

    good luck.

ive made it successfully into my 4th decade (eating salmon consistently)  and cooked (probably) close multiple tons of salmon with zero deaths

I cook salmon in my air fryer on the broil setting. Once it's cooked you can safely keep it for several days in the fridge. I put it in a ziploc bag. Been doing this for many years with no problem. Nonsense to think you have to eat it all immediately after cooking. That's what refrigerators are for.

    quite

Love Salmon but I wouldn't leave it in the fridge overnight, never mind for a couple of days.  Eat it all in one go would be my advice, too risky to leave it.

    Why?

Total nonsense, you can very easily store for multiple days fresh & cooked

  10. Cooked will be fine for 2-3 days without any issues

Not all fresh salmon has been de-frosted, fresh is flown in weekly - I buy (literally) tons per year

Yes the prices have gone up recently - try to use the stuff from Aus thats widely available in Macro, I personally know the importer and its good stuff

  11. Aside from my previous hilarious comment, I would question the validity of the results - if cholesterol levels (more on that) are of concern, I would not wish to trust an all singing all dancing piece of $15 dollar machinery.

I would also add that this will probably (at best) only be able to detect total cholesterol - which has limited value and would very likely be easily skewed if not in a fasted state etc......

There appears to be some devices on Shopee and Lazada targeting Thai market. I'm not sure how trustworthy or reliable they are though.

I try to learn more on Keto.
    Sounds interesting.
Heared from many people how they started to feel better with a Keto diet.

yet you want to avoid ketones in your system due to concerns from Ketoacidosis ? which is a (small but real) concern if your blood sugar levels are not under control.

That is not at all what it says.

Neither it nor any other valid medical source use a different scale for blood sugars in the elderly versus younger adults.

The article you quote clearly says that a normal fasting blood sugar for adults (any age) is below 100. Only within 1-2 hours after eating is it normal to go as high as 180.

The reference to the "highest blood sugar that is safe" is not referring to fasting levels but levels after meals and also to safety in the moment as opposed to what is safe to average over an extended period of time.

Nothing in this article contradicts what every other article will tell you: it is important for diabetics to control their blood sugars to avoid serious long term complications like kidney damage, heart disease, vascular disease etc.

Thanks - was late back to the discussion, but yes what you said.

I would simply knock out the cornflakes & yoghurt and replace with "real food" - again protein and fat, eggs maybe a few times a week and start walking.

    From https://www.singlecare.com/blog/normal-blood-glucose-levels/:
Adults who are 20 years or older will have blood sugar levels that range between less than 100-180 mg/dL over the course of a day. When you wake up in the morning, your fasting blood sugar should be at its lowest because you haven’t consumed food for about eight hours. If you’re an adult and struggling with glucose control, your healthcare provider can help you develop a treatment plan to manage your blood sugar better.
Many people won’t start to experience symptoms from high blood sugar until their levels are at 250 mg/dL or higher. The highest blood sugar level that’s considered safe will depend on the person and whether they have diabetes, but will typically be between 160 to 240 mg/dL.

    "
Only exercise if there are no ketones present in the bloodstream. You can check if you have ketones with a urine test or blood glucose meter."

You come for advice, yet actively seek to just disprove the advice given.

Also you have cherry picked parts of the whole article - your diet is less than ideal

Salt and sugar free diet (food and drinks).
Exercise is forbidden for me unless is it light ecercise which is not putting strength in the heart.
    I eat normally:
    1. A light breakfast (toast, corn flakes, non processed meat and eggs).
Sometimes also beans in tomato sauce and/or french fries.
    2. A full (mostly Thai) meal at midday.
Mostly a scoopr of rice with 2 selected (sugar and salt free) toppings.
    3. At dinner I eat mostly yoghurt or fruit salad.

I drink with most of these meals Unsweetened Soya milk.

I would substitute some of those carbs (read higher sugar foods)  for a protein and or fat - you seem to have very little in the way of either from this summary glance at your diet

Try a piece or meat/ fish in the evening, if not viable ensure your fruits are VERY high fibre and your yoghurt is not the low fat sugar loaded <deleted> found in the 7-11

Also stay away from Soy (not soya BTW) milk as it is nutritionally garbage -
