Yep 160 mph is fast enough. ????

And kph too, that's when I get nervous on my Versys 650. It's pretty smooth at that speed on a straightaway though. One issue I have is that the Thai motorists are not expecting a motorcycle to be going much faster that 60 so they'll will cut or turn in front of you. Good thing I have ABS and ride defensively. .

Just used it today the old in and out, one vehicle in the window when I arrived. Handed the IO my application and passport he handed me a blank form, I wasn't sure if he wanted it filled out or for next time it turned out for next time. handed back all the paper work he didn't staple in the new day to report form.

When you arrive they will have a barrier across the drive way if they are full of parked cars, just show the guard your application form and in you go. Make a left turn go to eastside of lot make a right turn and you cannot miss it. Hope they keep it open after all this mess is over.

Had about the same experience yesterday. The queue took under 10 minutes. Hope they keep it. Lots of people at immigration as a whole, the parking lots across the street were full.

Thanks Guys looks like the E Visa is the answer.

The approval time for the eVisa is longer than the 3 days stated on their website. It took us about 6 days before we received our approval recently. It was easy though. The approval letter can be had quicker if you're tight on time.

And it's interesting that one of my bank accounts will NOT allow access if I AM using a vpn.

My bank always makes me go through a CAPTCHA authentication. They can detect a shared IP address. The solution is to use a VPN service with a dedicated IP which is expensive. My reason to use a VPN is to get around the streaming services geo restrictions. Also a must when using an open WiFi spot.

The other newspaper which can't be mentioned is running a similar article but also quotes 'lane splitting ban's' for big bikes - which would potentially be a nightmare.

Of course, all of the suggestions seem completely unenforceable. Imagine telling Somchai who rides down the pavement that he can't ride in the big-bike lanes, besides, there's not enough space as there is.

Allow big bikes on the express ways (600cc+).

Remove slow carts from the streets.

Encourage courteous driving (not blocking box junctions etc).

Penalise dangerous riding & driving / running lights etc more severely.

Stamp out DUI with strong campaigns and firm and unwavering penalisation.

Ensure anyone on the road has full insurance.

Agree with this post, it's war against the big bikes by banning lane splitting for big bikes only. Lane splitting can be done safely, just penalize it if done recklessly. Two classes of motorcycle licenses is long over due here, hopefully the class for larger bikes allows use of motorways and tunnels.
