And it's insane to build all those offices on the ground floor. The spots are already painted, so this was obviously an afterthought. TIT.

The old parking lot. Near the terminal looks like official parking. The back is motorbikes.

APEC Business Traveller card is a godsend. Go through VIP / diplomatic queue. Usually empty.

Parking lot was full last Sunday around noon. All levels plus double parking. Was able to squeeze into a space on the down ramp.
When I paid my fee, receipt listed Phuket Car Rental & Travel Co., Ltd as proprietor. Why HKT airport can't run this themselves is a question that came to mind. But to the point here, I wonder how many of their 150 hire cars are parked semipermanently in this lot? Its obviously free, under cover, and secure. Any guesses?

This was the Tune hotel in the past. Location is good for beach and nightlife. Has good TripAdvisor ratings.

Away for 5 days and unplugged TV, MINIX box, router. Turned on just now and all is well.

When I view the OP, I can then only see a few of the comments and below that, it's all blank (white). Seems to have started about 1 week ago.. Same time as b&w color. Anybody else having this problem. Android box might be the issue. Laptop OK.

Gracias. In the past, I let the authorized company down the road sort it out. Gave them the doc's and vehicle and they did it all. Car was in my name at the time. Will check with them to see if still possible. Much easier.

Road tax due early next year. Currently registered in Ubon w/ Ubon tags. In my GF's name. Prefer not to drive all the way back to inspect / renew.
She says I can inspect / renew in Phuket with blue book and signed copies of her ID / house papers, which I have.
All seems too easy. Lived here too long not to think I am missing something.
Any ideas?

Incoming radar showed a Lionair flight landing at HKT around 2030 from Nanjing. Destination was Krabi and it should have landed at around 1700.
Seems odd that they close shop so early. If I was on that flight, I would not be very happy.

Chinese tourism minister recently stated that next years outbound numbers will be similar to this years. So it is unlikely thailand will see the percentage increases from prior years. Next years drop off can probably be offset by an uptick in arrivals from Russia. The problem is that the government financial prognosticators build in large increases every year. That low hanging fruit has been picked. Rough waters ahead.

Pulled the plug on themselves.

4 when I first arrived. How many now?

Big difference between current current (46%)and usable (17%) at Bhumipol. 2nd largest in Thailand.

Arrived from KL and immigration queue was over 1 hour. Kiosks that hold 2 imm officers only had 1. More staff needed. A plane arrived from HKG 20 minutes before us and they hadn't cleared before we joined the queue. What a circus.

Whateva.....
CNN coverage is extensive. Almost non-stop. Let's pay homage and move on. I guess it stopped the debate marathon.
BBC had a good bio on him. 15 minutes of his life.. Then moved on.

Emperors new clothes. Hold the party line and never look at the numbers.

Exorcist episode 1 was OK. Had to establish some background for the main characters, but next weeks preview looked scary.

Lazada has it. Drill down in the Home & Garden section. Best prices and free delivery if you order enough. Cash on delivery too.

Terminal one is international (new) terminal two is domestic (old) parking is in front of terminal one in a multifloor parking garage with skybridges from 2 different floors straight to the terminal. Come on it isnt that difficult to understand
Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa ConnectHKT website seems to be out of date. All departures seem to be out of T1 , domestic and international, except PG flights that say T3. You a are probably right, but dotting I's and crossing T's has never been a strong point here.

High prices 2012 - 2014 caused by poor harvests in India and Vietnam. Down ever since. Bumper crops, high stockpiles, and stable consumption worldwide means price rebound unlikely.
