  1. Went to 2 Branches of SCB Pattaya today, with yellow book, no joy, said I also needed a COR.
  2. Every year is different, last year visit immigration for photo, go to bank put money in take money out, Pick up passport with visa next day. Allegedly this year, visit immigration for photo, Agent puts money in bank via phone app, which must be upgraded to allow a million baht transfers, not a big problem. just visit bank with app, I have already done this, Fill in a form ??? Wait 14 days for passport. Can you please close this thread, I only reopened it to apologise, thanks for the advise, lets see what happens. I"m still getting notifications on the earlier thread that you closed.
  3. No worries, I'll just do it year by year, maybe I should have gone the marriage way years ago, but as my funds became depleted, an agent seemed the easy way out, and it was.
  4. I think I'm nearly there, I cannot check without going to the Bank as I can only check 6 months on my phone. The problem is the fluctuation in Exchange Rate, which has ranged from 41 - 47 Baht to the Pound in the last year, it is presently 44. But I have enough for a Marriage Visa which I may try next year. I think the problem with getting a new Non O is that I believe you need insurance, I don't think any body will insure me at a reasonable price at 72.
  5. First of all I would like to apologise to Drjack54 for comments I made earlier this morning. I understand all of what you said concerning seeding etc not being seen by Jomtiem immigration and that the money put in by an agent would only appear in my bank statement for a few minutes. But this is Jomtiem Immigration where their rules change hourly, and you are quite right they would notice that I had used an agent and that the money had not been seeded, but surely Jomtiem Immigration would have been complicit with the agent in this case, so would know what is going on. I'm not suggesting you are wrong and that they would probably not give me the visa, but who knows until someone has tried it. After your advice I don't think I'm willing to try it myself. I don't know, but is there anybody out there who has tried to change to monthly income after using an agent. As I said I will be seeing my agent next week and will probably continue with the methods I have used previously, my only real concern is my passport not being returned for a few weeks. Again apologies to Drjack54 for any offense that I may have caused.
  6. Please close this Thread, Who exactly is giving this advice, what are their credentials. Has Drjack54 actually gone through this process, or is it just hearsay Please close this thread, too many notifications.
  7. Who are you, Ubon Joe's replacement, why so much negativity, are you an immigration officer. I have asked a simple question about verification, which was answered by chickenslegs and I have got caught up in a conversation with so called self appointed immigration experts. Please can you close this topic. I have got the answers I required.
  8. I have talked to the agent on the phone and suggested the monthly income to them, they said no problem as long as my pensions are verified, they even said I would not need the 65K ??? Unfortunately, it was on the phone with a few language difficulties, which is why I shall go to see them next week. The agent also said they have found a way round the problem with Bangkok Bank for this year but not sure about the future?? If there is a problem with this I shall pay the agent, as I have for the past few years, and let them get on with it. I'm just a little concerned that my passport is away for 2 weeks. I have lived here permanently for the past 20+ years and they always seem to find a way round these problems, lets hope this carries on. Anyway I shall let you know what happens.
  9. My pension Payments all come from abroad every month I get a SMS from Bangkok Bank confirming this, All my pensions go direct to Bangkok Bank and have done for the last 7 years. My concern about the 65k is the fluctuations in the sterling exchange rate which have ranged between 41 and 47 Baht to the Pound in the past year. I can only check the last 6 months on my phone app. You are right about the agent price rise, which is not that high, but a little worried that my passport is away for a few weeks. I shall have a word with the agent sometime next week, see what they suggest. I have not entertained the marriage Visa in the past because I've heard that it is a PITA. I understand what you say about the seeding.
  10. I have 3 Pensions from the UK, all three are paid directly into my Bangkok Bank account, and have been for a few years. I think I may have enough for the retirement visa, but if not I may go the marriage way. I have previously used an agent, but circumstances seem to have changed re agents this year, price increases and passport away for a few weeks. I have been here a long time and have previously used the income method, with a letter from the British Consulate, combined with monies saved in the bank. I understand that the UK Consulate no longer do the verification. I'm just looking for alternatives to the agent this year. I shall probably discuss things with the agent and see what they suggest. What's the earliest I can renew my extension, an agent is 3 months before, but when I did it previously off my own back it was only a month before.
  11. My question was about verification chickenslegs has answered that.
  12. Thanks chickenslegs, so no verification needed, seems to be a lot of bank letters. Lets just hope my bank branch is knowledgeable and helpful. I have the original letter from the UK DWP for my Government pension, and have monthly statements from my other pension providers. Any idea of the earliest date this can be done, my present extension ends early September?
  13. I would like to extend my retirement visa using by the pension income method. I have been told that my pensions need to be verified. In the past this was done by British Embassy/Consulate, but they no longer do that. Does anyone know how i can get these pensions verified, and do they still need to be verified.
  14. This is from the form they sent out UK DWP People who can witness the Life Certificate are: • a member of the police force • a teacher or lecturer • an officer of a bank authorised to sign documents on its behalf • a doctor, surgeon, dentist, nurse, pharmacist or optician registered under the law of the country where the declaration is made • a care or residential home manager (if customer is resident) • a barrister, solicitor or advocate authorised to practice in the country where the declaration is made • paralegal (certified paralegal, qualified paralegal, or associate member of the Institute of Paralegals) • a Notary Public or any other person allowed to administer oaths in the country where the declaration is made (commissioner for oaths) • a civil servant or government employee • a member of the Foreign Service of the United Kingdom or HM Overseas Civil Service or a British Diplomatic or Consular Officer • a councillor, for example local or county • a local government officer • a Member of Parliament • a magistrate or Justice of the Peace • a minister of a recognised religion
  15. It amazes me that they think that email is not secure, yet they think the postal service is.
  16. I rang DWP, last night, as I have still not received my form, sent the 6th January. They confirmed that this is the new form, but they are also accepting the old form for now. I was hoping do to the Life Certificate over the phone, as I had done in the past, no joy however, they insist on it being posted.
  17. Please see Mutt Daeng post earlier, this works, as I said earlier I have done this on 3 unsupported PC's
  18. If you have an unsupported version, Look at this video after about 16 minutes, works every time, did on this on three computers at home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E14eTGEmsNA&list=WL&index=15 Don't forget to download the ISO from the Microsoft site. Which he shows you at the start of the video.
  19. Try the advanced settings now incorporated into Kodi 21. https://kodi.wiki/view/Settings/Services/Caching You have to set your level settings to expert
  20. Had problems with Santander about 2 years ago, asked me endless questions about me living here, been here 23 years, answered their questions, they e-mailed me to say everything was OK. But I withdrew all my money except for a fiver, I didn't trust them, quite rightly, as they stopped my account 2 days before Christmas 2022, I contacted them and they admitted they were in the wrong and gave me 75 pounds compensation. I carried on with them until last September, when they started asking questions about tax, i took all my money out except for 1p. They messaged me about a month ago asking me to ring them as they had more questions, so I closed my account. They said they will send me a cheque for the outstanding balance, so I am looking forward to receiving a cheque for 1p. I have also had friends who have had problems with Barclays Bank in the UK.
  21. I had this problem last year was told to update it using private browsing.
  22. I was asking 3BB/AIS to do this most nights, seemed to work , I don't know why, rebooting the router at my end didn't make any difference. Does anybody know why rebooting the service at their end would make things OK?
  23. You do know that 3BB has been taken over by AIS. It has been AIS since November 2023. It is no longer 3BB.
  24. Instead of 30 type 90 for 90 days 180 for 180days 360 for 360 days.
  25. 3BB seems to be working OK now, I guess they lied about the 3 weeks.
