  1. I think you are right, i believe they are sending the forms OUT via Netherlands post, who have also had problems with strikes. But I must admit I can't confirm if that rumour is true or not.
  2. I am typing this on about a 10 year old Acer Aspire E471, works perfectly, set up on my TV to watch movies on Kodi and Sport with an IPTV player. I have changed the hard drive to SSD and added more memory, very easy to work on. I also have a Dell Inspiron 5459, which I bought for my son, load of crap, 30 Hertz refresh rate and maximum 100 Mbs LAN connection. Agree with you about Lenovo being good.
  3. My pension was reinstated on the 7th June, They confirmed by phone in march that they had received the form. I have just sent them this e-mail, hopefully they can do something about it, though I doubt it. Thanks for confirming that my pension is OK, but why did it take till the 7th June? My friend posted it in the UK in early March 2023, I gave him the completed form, while he was on holiday in late February. I received the form in very late February, even though it was posted on the 3rd of January. This is very worrying, you are obviously using a bad postal service??? because many of my friends got the notice later than I and some not at all. Surely in the 21st Century the DWP, can update their security. I have 2 other private pensions and Proof of Life with the 2 of them can be done electronically. Have you thought of sending the blank forms via e-mail rather than by a totally inadequate Postal service, where forms are going missing in the post, how secure is that. Thanks again for confirming that my pension is OK, there is no way I can live without this money. The problem is that the DWP are relying on antiquated and bad insecure postal services in the 21st century. You cannot send me confirmation of my state pension by e-mail because of security reasons, maybe it will be lost in the post. Thanks,
  4. Are the people having problems using the phone app or a PC/Mac?
  5. The form is available. It is also worth the phone call, as they sometimes take the phone call, after answering a few questions, as Proof of Life. They sent forms out in January this year I received mine in March. DWP pension form.pdf
  6. I believe CCleaner is now owned by Avast. When installing CCleaner you have to opt out of installing Avast anti virus. As the OP is not computer savvy, installing an anti virus is going to cause even bigger problems. Also if the OP does not know what he is doing CCleaner can damage the registry.
  7. My Redmi note 11, Android 12, still gets it's apps from Google Play Store,
  8. I have a Redmi note 11, which is OK for my purposes, but I am not a camera buff. GSM Arena, an excellent site for phone specs etc., have done this very good and fair review of the Redmi note 11, not that flattering.
  9. I believe Tims was originally on Beach Road. I have been living here for 24 years and it has always been on Second Road, so it must have been a long time since you had that beer.
  10. I miss Tims bar on second road, in the old days, before she turned it into a french style bordello. great music and atmosphere, it also had the best and cleanest toilets in Pattaya.
  11. Good news that Fen is clean, I find it a very good add on, probably the best for my usage. Seren is also good, but you must have a Trakt account for that add on to work, and of course Trakt went down for about a week a while back, which is why I went looking for alternatives.and found Fen working again. Fen also works with an IMDb account, which is good. I know that it is not necessary to have a Debrid account, as there are torrents and now lots of sites where you can watch movies for free. But I find the convenience and the quality obtained from the Debrid sites worth the 100 Baht a month that it costs, for now, but that may change always looking for alternatives. I am also looking for a good add on, that uses free IPTV for mostly UK sports. I have tried a few but they have generally been unsatisfactory. i am at the moment using a paid IPTV service which costs 10 US Dollars a month, this works very well, so maybe my standards are a little high when looking for something for nothing. I have been using Kodi since the old Fusion days and thankfully I have never had any virus problems, but I do limit the add on's I use, I have used Crew in the past, so maybe I dodged a bullet there.
  12. Yes Fen is back and is working well. But he keeps updating it, I think he is well into version 30 already, I wish he would leave it alone, but it's obviously his hobby. I know I could turn off automatic updates, but then I may miss something good. I am using a Windows 10 platform on an old Acer laptop that I bought my son about 10 years ago. I have taken the old HDD out and replaced it with an SSD and added some extra memory, works perfectly. Just Checked Fen, it is now on version 3.0.41
  13. Hi, very interesting reading your comments re Kodi. I have just upgraded to 20.0 without any problems at all. I only use the Fen and Seren add-ons , mostly Fen. I have an All Debrid account, I used to use Real Debrid, but I had a problem making a payment one time so changed to All Debrid, works just as well, and no need for a VPN. I also have a Trakt account which I find very useful. I was wondering if it was really worth having these maintenance accounts as you can clear cache etc. in the Tools in both Fen and Seren. Anyway nothing more to say, just interesting reading some knowledgeable comments concerning Kodi.
  14. If you only require a VPN to watch UK TV, there are a couple of free ones that work as extensions on Edge, Chrome and Firefox. They are Browsec and Veepn. I personally use Veepn, which I find satisfactory for my needs.
  15. Microsoft has reminded users that Windows 10, version 1909 (also known as the November 2019 Update), will reach the end of service next month, in May 2021. Latest version is 21H2 This You Tube video may help.
  16. I was using PrivateVPN, and it was OK, but the renewal is due, so I have been looking at others. I only use the VPN to watch UK TV, iPlayer ITV hub etc. I have just been trying VeePN as a Firefox addon. After 2 days it is working perfectly and it is free. I believe it is also available for Chrome.
  17. I had the problem with OTP and UK bank after I changed my phone whereby I could not open my banks app. I contacted True Move H and they confirmed there was a block. They asked me to give them 24 hours, they were very helpful and after 24 hours it was all sorted, True even called me to test everything was OK. Surprised me, because I am not a fan of True. But in this case they were very good.
  18. It looks as if the OP has been trolling us.
  19. Why don't you contact Windows/ Microsoft help, Google them. They are more knowledgeable than people on this forum. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us https://support.microsoft.com/contactus
  20. I have tried to help you earlier by advising you to update windows 10 Media Creation tool. The issue is has something to do with Windows system file corruption. It is advisable to perform an in -place upgrade. This process will change or overwrite the current system files that is causing the issue to happen. The good thing is that all your files, settings and program will remain, and will update your Windows to the current version. Shall we proceed on this process? Here are the steps on how to perform in place upgrade. Kindly follow these steps: 1. Please click this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 2. Select the "Download now" button under "Create Windows 10 Installation Media" After the download double click on the file to run the tool. 3. On the license terms page, if you accept the license terms, select Accept. 4. On the what do you want to do? page, select Upgrade this PC now, and then select Next. As per the whole process, this consist of 8 phases. it will usually take 20-30minutes. We just have to follow what is being asked by tool by clicking Ok, Next or Accept. This will surely overwrite the current Windows system files which is causing the issue to happen and will update your Windows to the latest version. That is the reply I got from Microsoft support. Why don't you contact Microsoft Support your self. Google Microsoft help. They are very helpful,
