  1. And my guess would be, not a word from the Customs dept...that allowed this stuff to enter the country!
  2. Never stops...rear ending parked trucks seems to be an occupational hazard here.....nothing to do with dark visors...texting on phones....being pissed....and of course there's the tales of how the accidents happened by witnesses....
  3. I don't think Thailand will host the F1....however, if they did, it would cost a fraction of the costs of the Australian race..... The disruption to locals would be ignored...the roads would be re-surfaced....and there'd be BBQ pork sticks everywhere!
  4. Many BKK beggars were "owned" by gangs....send them off in the morning...keep a watch on them during the day, and collect in the evening. Not sure if that's still the case
  5. So often rear enders....charging into the back of a parked truck will take 'em out every time......Blind...stupid or the phone...?
  6. Even cars when they get a flat, will often just stop where they are....no idea of consequence!
  7. Beer...hookers and <deleted>...always a recipe for trouble.....:))) Wouldn't be Thailand if foreigners don't get into fights in girly bar areas:))
  8. I'm all for anti-noise management, however it get done.....hail the navy!
  9. It sounds as though this case will never long and drawn out....the driver will have connections...while the distraught father and husband do not. Is this a civil or criminal case?
  10. Always a good idea when arguing with ones' wife or husband....climb a bloody great tower!
  11. Just about a daily news item....cops behaving badly! No-one seems to care!
  12. Most places, it's illegal to leave the keys in the vehicle....but everywhere you go, Thais leave their vehicles running...Keeps the car cool....but bikes??
  13. Mmmm....the tow rope snapped?......Maintenance is expensive....anyway..it's just a rope and should be fine....I'll let the boss know:)
  14. That's actually how these travelers operate. They hoist the segments into position, then push the stressing strands through ducts, tension these strands and grout everything. The operation would likely take 7 days at least, to complete
  15. Bloody illegal immigrants! Not bad on the barbie though:)
  16. A catastrophe is what it is! This looks like a "traveller" has collapsed....the truss structure that lifts the segments from the road level off trucks. Unbelievable that at this stage in this nightmarish project, that such a disaster could happen! As #SHA 2 BKK states....much of the roadway now is badly in need of repair.....so many overloaded trucks and very narrow lanes, make this 40 kms a scary drive!
  17. "transparency of the investigation amid public concerns of a potential cover-up, given the case’s high profile." This case will now take much longer to close.....
  18. “Officers must adhere to ethical standards"
  19. Maybe by 2027 at earliest......
  20. I made the stupid mistake on using cement roofing....absolute and utter crap! Most of the color came off, many of the roof pieces have cracks...impossible to walk on and really should be banned. That this died after falling through is not the least surprising....it's like walking on egg shells!
  21. Probably warranted if the Tuk Tuk was in BKK....those guy are mafia deluxe!
  22. And 5 years down the road to submarines....and a feasibility study to be carried out! What!
