    I'm Aussie and fly Thai everywhere, not just to Australia.....while so many say they're too expensive...I don't know why.

    "frequently incorporating new members.".....very easy to recruit here...the promise of a few hundred baht is a great lure. Unfortunately, the gangs rarely, if ever, get nabbed...either they're smart, or it's by design....being cynical, I think the latter. But never take away a bit of good PR for the cops when a"bust" is done.

    Many wealthier Thais do have a safe or safety deposit box, for their valuables....but as in this case and others, many don't. Gold and cash in drawers or boxes.....gold for personal decorations and money for counting:))
