    2024 and still massive waits and queues at all international airports...a bit of talk about speeding it up...but really, Thailand just remains in development. The cops are not at all interested in streamlining their operations.....they will keep the system slow, almost it seems, out of spite!

    And not so far away in SE Asia, is Indonesia, the largest muslim population in the world, and Thailand' gonna be the hub?

    A decent fire service with modern equipment....not wet sacks, and proper training for it's employees would be a start! Maybe a chopper or 2 for water bombing....of course, when they are not transporting the generals to golf courses!

    In the times of hand cutting in Australia...the cane was always burnt and even with the advent of machinery, continued into the 80s....now stopped.

    The 711 stores here are amazing how they work so darn well....the staff are great and know everything. Japan has been mentioned as having better stores....and they are good....200ml of beautiful Japanese whiskey always available!

    It's almost always a long and slow wait in the lines. After this visit by the esteemed PM, it will improve dramatically...for a couple of days!

    There are thousands of trucks coming from the south towards BKK, with timber for charcoal production. Talk about living in a smoke screen environment...this cooking method is ancient....it really should be stopped: "Grilling with charcoal is associated with an increased cancer risk."

    Staggering that the Thai lottery, which is likely the biggest scam ever in the country... so profitable in this country where gambling in outlawed.....the government virtually force by stealth, millions of poor to waste their money.....usually those that can least afford it. Where do the takings go? My guess would be primarily to the military and their mates....however, the Govt Lottery site claims 60% winnings...then revenue and costs

    No-one can prevent a drought....they just happen. Water management has never bee Thailand' forte....they're hopeless at that. Spend millions on supposedly "great" water saving and retention projects...corruption takes hold and nothing really happens.

    Water management incompetence is a national trait....where ever you go, the same issues arise almost every year. They really have no idea what they're doing.

    "even though they had obtained the Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) approval prior to their departure."....Maybe some in S Korea aren't the sharpest tools in the box....this is so similar to so many things in Thailand. Ambiguity is an Asian trait:)
