Overreaction or what? Groups of 5-6 out in the fresh air miles from anyone in a place that's difficult to access! ikke1959 is correct. The headline suggests (to me at least) that they're gathering in large groups at the pier not wearing masks or having sex parties in underground pubs! If they weren't doing this at the beach, they'd be holed up in a cheap apartment somewhere doing the same (exc. fires).

Is it just me, or (upon reading quickly) does this headline mislead a bit? ???? Nearly every day we get the 'cases' number first, followed by deaths and recoveries. But now we get 'recoveries' first, which is a higher number, as it has been for more than a week. ???????????????? But is anyone else skimming or scrolling and seeing 20,xxx and presuming it's new infections due to not reading carefully? I'm sure the OP didn't mean to mislead, but consistency is key with reporting daily figures. ????????

Interesting to see that there's still a fair number of negative people on here, and those who want the lockdown to continue. Maybe they are retired and live out of town. Yes, many locals in the same situation want lockdown to continue, but most people want and need to get back to being able to earn money, spend money and get their kids to school. If the cases are way higher than reported (which I believe to be the case) and deaths and hospitalisations level off or decrease, then we need to open up. Gradually yes, but start opening up on Sept. 1st.

I jog 10km early most mornings. No way I'm wearing a mask, but lucky I'm away from people. When cycling, I have a mask handy for when going slowly through a temple or market. But the rest of the time I don't wear one.

With the (almost daily) reported behaviour of monks in Thailand, and alleged activities of some higher up.... why are these items still illegal? There are some needy and depraved souls out there who, without release, may perform acts on people or even animals without consent. Let each man and woman decide how they behave behind closed doors, as long as it's not immoral and illegal (at least by the standards of the civilised world which Thailand looks up to)!

Why is sex so important? Why are the needs of the father/husband so important? Thai mothers are quite different from in the west. They like to sleep with their kids for as long as possible, as they slept with their (grand)parents when they were young. It's a clash of cultures, and a Thai or bad farang would go and get what he needs elsewhere. My wife has given me the green light to do what I like, but threatened me with all sorts of nasties if she finds out. That's normal. Not all Thai women are hookers. Not all have a price. Not all care about sex.
