Accident Student Struck by Bus Driving Against Traffic on Bangkok Crossing
2long replied to Georgealbert's topic in Bangkok News
If anyone wants to see regular cases of buses deciding that waiting in traffic or driving on the correct side of the road are 'not their thing' then this stretch of road every late afternoon almost guarantees results. Northbound buses. https://maps.app.goo.gl/r4ogDmX28ZAP2p7h6 -
And I just noticed that today's lovely IO even found a space on an earlier page of my passport to stamp me in, thus not wasting future pages. I love this!

Upon my successful application for a DTV back in March, @DrJack54 asked me to start a new post with my experience getting back into Thailand. In short: no problems at all. ✅💪🏻🍻 - I had kept 600K in the bank to show, just in case they came up with some cock & ball story that the 500k is needed for every entry. IO didn't ask for anything. - I had a flight out of Thailand already booked for 2 weeks after I land. IO didn't ask for proof. - I completed the TDAC thing online before flying and entered the DTV number and my flight out to Japan scheduled for mid July. IO didn't ask to see the email or QR. I guess it's their system. - On the TDAC I wrote that I was a UK resident, which is partially true. I didn't want to write that I was a resident here. - I can't remember the reason for coming that I wrote, but it was either meeting or business or maybe something else. The IO at BKK this afternoon was very nice, and stamped me in until end of December, although I'll be popping out several times before then. In summary, all good, fast, and hassle free.

Report Thailand Tightens Alcohol Sales: New Rules Take Effect

It's simple. In a few months they will 'relax' the same laws, so that they are the same as now and as they have been forever, then expect us to be grateful. -
British Lump of Lard Hauled Off Thai Lion Air Flight
2long replied to John Drake's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I don't think this is 'on the way back' as it's a Thai Domestic flight, or at least a local low cost flight. Certainly not to the UK. -

I'm surprised that this thread has lasted as long as it has, such is some of the content in the OP and one or two replies. 🧐🤫 -
British Lump of Lard Hauled Off Thai Lion Air Flight

Almost every time I fly SL I ask for an aisle seat and they OFFER me the emergency exit. Mind you, I'm 80kg and can be polite. I also don't have a camel toe instead of a willy. -
Report Thai Transwomen Removed from Exam for Gender Expression

If she has an apple, she has a banana! Either you're on lots of hormomes and had your willy cut off (allowing for dress as a female) or not. If not, then dress as the fella you were born as for things like this.- 25 replies

Oh Koh Phi Phi, What have you become?
2long replied to Cornish Pasty's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
In 2002 mass tourism was very much there, and so were the touts offering anything and everything. Local mafia rules mean that the 20B needs to be collected on the island, and not added to the ferry ticket. Bear in mind that electricity on the island is more than the mainland, and getting (and keeping cold) drinks such as water costs more than on the mainland. Therefore, prices are higher. This is a sad but unavoidable case of somewhere getting too popular for its own good, and it happens all around the world. I lived on Phi Phi during the filming of The Beach movie, and ever since then its popularity has sky rocketed. -
UK Breaking Barriers: Blaise Metreweli Becomes First Woman to Lead MI6
2long replied to Social Media's topic in World News
It's not 'breaking barriers' it's just another human with two arms and two legs getting a job. All the time we go on about women or people from other races / minority groups we are effectively reinforcing the issue. Women are humans and so are black people. Why do we have to point it out every time these people achieve something? -

Why does the report refer to expats / expatriates, when surely it should refer to all non-Thai nationals / all foreigners? -

Transport Direct Thailand-US Flights Poised for Takeoff After 2015 Halt
2long replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Considering the distance, and the amount of people that the can attract to pay, I feel a one-stop flight is always the best option. I find Emirates hard to beat. I'm in the UK and came on EVA, who I love. -

Vancouver was in Canada the last time I checked. You wrote "when will there be direct flights to canada?... never i guess" but didn't specify your preferred city.
