The thing about the J&J vaccine is it's marketed as single shot but it seems to be less effective than one shot of the Astrazeneca vaccine. I'm all for as many vaccines as possible but this one doesn't magically achieve in one shot what the others do in two.
I am pretty sure JJ is doing a second 3rd phase trial now with 2 shots? Still more effective than the Flu shot and will save lives.
Moderna is going thru the process with Thai FDA now, thats a different ball park at 90% +

Did Pfizer ever apply?

What about children traveling with parents who are vaccinated?

They really love talking about themselves like they are the master race.
If they are so concerned with the safety of the vaccine, then why didn't Thailand make their own vaccine?
In a Thai lab, using thai equipment, bottled by a thai company complete with a thai logo stamped onto it.
I know why, because they CANT!!!
They are making one, Chula I believe based on Pfizer/Moderna technology of mRNA

Given the Moderna vaccine was only released in December, I am fascinated by your comment it is producing lifelong side effects. Please PM me the location of your crystal ball, I need it to buy a lottery ticket.
Maybe one of these QTards who think the vaccines permanently change your DNA, making you into some new life form lol

Do not forget the vaccine gives you up to 90% immunity, it does not stop you being a carrier. You will still be able to catch Covid from a vaccinated person, if unvaccinated.
Also it would benefit the population as a whole if everyone was vaccinated as its only 90% max effective. I don't expect the Thai government to vaccinate me for free, but I would hope I wouldn't be ripped off buying it. 400 -600 I have paid for vaccines for the time I have been here, there is no reason for the Astra Zeneca to cost more. They can shove the Chinese one where the sun don't shine.
Let's not share pseudoscience here, Pfizer, JnJ, Moderna, Astra Zeneca are not sure how and if vaccinated people can still infect other people if they are exposed to COVID after being vaccinated with 1 or 2 shots. There is still a lot to study and learn about this. There are many good articles about this, its a hot topic.
I'm watching JnJ, their single dose vaccine is showing promise and their 3rd phase trail results are coming out soon. Could be given emergency approval if it's effective in Feb. It's similar to Astra Zeneca that it's a DNA based vaccine, so much easier to transport as well.
I really don't care the cost, just want one of these first rate vaccines. Might take the family back to the states to get vaccinated if there is no progress here. I'm not waiting till the end of the year, I want to be vaccinated by mid year.
Agree with you about the Chinese and even the Russian one.

iOS and Android have built in API’s to build apps to contact trace in conjunction with the native capabilities of the smart phone. There are other digital solutions, the wrist band is an unnecessary expense when an app can do the job, scaleable and lower cost.

Bangkok Bank approved us first, they were very professional so far. Waiting to hear from other banks this week to compare offers.

What bank do you use for your business? Surely in thirteen years you have developed a decent relationship with them.
I bank with SCB, Bangkok Bank, and Kasikorn, with Bangkok Bank being my main bank. Have good relationships with all of them. All 3, and UOB taking our case seriously asking for more information each day.
The banks are looking at my company, and both of us. There is enough monthly net income in the company to cover the mortgage on 10 of these homes. Looking forward to seeing what they say.

Best bank is a piggy bank. Zero interest. Thai bank mortgages result in paying 2-3x house value once done.
2.6% for 3 years is not so bad, however you are right, if one does not refi at that point and negotiate, the banks will take advantage and charge you double the global rate. My loan is fixed for 30 years in the states, low rate, they do not offer that here.

I own a company here for 13 years with 50 employees, and she works. Good to hear about the SCB - Thank you for taking the time to respond

Hi Team Thaivisa,
My Thai partner and I want to buy a new build house in Bangkok.
Wondering if any of the banks are more open minded to accepting a foreigner in the deal vs others?
She just applied to UOB, Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn Bank, SCB a few days ago, but was wondering if I should come here and ask you guys about this.
Thanks!

We are not far away for the last 2 months, the trash washes up on shore everyday. We pick up 3 garbage bags worth every morning we go out. The trash is coming from the ocean, some of it has barnacles on it. I think trash is being dumping in mass in the ocean and washing back on shore.

Why does anything have to be done? Just let it be handled on the way out of the country, anyone arriving between date x and y, is good to go through date a and b.

There is a phrase, its like Som Nom Na? The attitude that some have toward westerners is horrible, but it's certainly not the majority and it's sad that so many good people are suffering because of the poor strategy of the board of tourism. They should have locked out the Chinese from the start, not allowing all the people to come for the lunar new year. Marketing Thailand as a safe destination within Asia. This would have protected the industry more than clamoring for Chinese tourist money at any expense.

Serves them right, they were too afraid to make it safe by blocking tourist who were potentially going to carry the virus.
If they had done the smart thing at more or less the right time, making Thailand a safe zone for people, then people would be coming and out spending money.

The only way forward is to block new travelers from China till the world gets a grip on this. It's a short term bump in the road, long term business will rebound.

Its like the center fielder (baseball) who catches the ball, its a beautiful running catch, but then stood there and celebrated by himself and forgot that there were people on 2nd and 3rd.
