Serves them right, they were too afraid to make it safe by blocking tourist who were potentially going to carry the virus.
If they had done the smart thing at more or less the right time, making Thailand a safe zone for people, then people would be coming and out spending money.

The only way forward is to block new travelers from China till the world gets a grip on this. It's a short term bump in the road, long term business will rebound.

You should contact an attorney who can do an introduction for you at a bank in Singapore or elsewhere. I would not open the bank account here and I would also advise against HK.

Airasia will probably go on strike and block the runways to stop this project

I also stopped flying Thai after more than a decade because of over priced tickets, "cannot" ticketing customer service, terrible mileage program with loads of unused miles and upgrades, snobby flight attendants, and no service to the USA because the planes were not meeting some safety service standard?
The airline needs to be spun off from the government and run by multinational executives

Most of these chemicals are already banned worldwide, have been banned... nobody is going to miss them, the petrochem companies moved their business models on a long time ago

Netnayahu might be this or that, but it's not up to us to judge. Thats up to the courts and investigators.

I would not want to be the president of any country, what a horrible job. Then imagine being president of a country that is surrounded by people and governments that want its destruction (suicide bombers, rocket attacks, how many intifadas?). For all the things he is accused of (accused, not found guilty), he has a tough job and I am not going to judge him or his actions. Just feel like all the talk these days regarding the Israel/Palestinian situation is A-historical, making Israel out to be the bad guy in the story. The Palestinians have turned down many deals... they won't accept a peace deal, only the description of the state of Israel.

Just charge 1THB per plastic bag and watch everyone clutching their purchases in their arms or carrying their own bag everywhere.

Does anyone know why the copter started to spin? Mechanical failure?

The whistles with bodies attached to them.. blowing mindlessly as loud as they can as you drive by ignoring them. You can hear them in your condo blocks away on the 14th floor.

This is exactly why I tell friends who are visiting to avoid local transport like this. Spend a little extra for a driver/car service. Every time I go on a road trip, 2 out of 5 van drivers are driving like they are on drugs... its terrible. The road stats are clear.. but I guess thats understood and acceptable in this video

Drivers of Vans, Delivery vehicles, and Pickups are generally some of the most irresponsible I see ... just driving on Bang Na today, encountered a few Nobel prize winners

I was thinking about coming up with a new phone case that has a spork attached to the end

Not just Chinese travellers staying away as virus shakes Thai tourism
in Thailand News

There is a phrase, its like Som Nom Na? The attitude that some have toward westerners is horrible, but it's certainly not the majority and it's sad that so many good people are suffering because of the poor strategy of the board of tourism. They should have locked out the Chinese from the start, not allowing all the people to come for the lunar new year. Marketing Thailand as a safe destination within Asia. This would have protected the industry more than clamoring for Chinese tourist money at any expense.
