What problems has he made wrt retirement extensions? I don't find retirement extensions to be particularly difficult to achieve.. a bit tiresome that I have to go down there once a year..... The scariest proposal is that of taxation of Expats and he was not involved in that idea.

You don't know what you are talking about.....the comment was relating to retirement extensions. 400k all year round (800k for part of it) is one of the options for retirement extension qualification. Alternatives being 65,000 transferred every month, combination, or Embassy letter if you can get it.

Many years ago tax certificates were required for people who had been ini country, presumably over 6 months. My pals passport was blocked in USA because his ex was disputing the alimony!
