  1. I use the northern side of that a lot, Hwy 36 to SSCC Rd. I remember when it was built, great, a smooth fast way to avoid Sukhumvit. Just endured a long stretch of work on the Southbound side, putting drains in again......recently completed.... if you could call it that, like riding a roller coaster now.
  2. Change comes slowly here.......
  3. Maybe your TM30 records, entries and exits to the country, CORs and the reasons for them.... and what you bought from Lazada.
  4. Driving home today I encountered a sprinkling requiring about 4-5 single sweeps of my wiper blades. Was, perhaps, that it?
  5. It virtually crept from 2nd Rd, a snail blindfolded moved better.....wonder the Mercure didn't go bankrupt. I don't recall a time there wasn't digging or ditches on soi 15.
  6. I believe that is simply undeclared......I can understand not wanting to declare and having to prove where it came from etc etc... but you and the wife traveling apart seems an inordinate effort.
  7. Remember, location, location, location.... places like VT 6 rent well and hold good value.
  8. Coincidentally on my TV only yesterday.
  9. Despite what the people issuing them say!
  10. With or without the big fat brown envelopes?
  11. We got 'corporation pop', which came from the tap!
  12. Sure has, never knew what it was all about for my first decade here.... should be covered by the property owners, but now they found a way to blame the tourists and foreigners and hit them for random fines!
  13. Kind of my sentiment... goes for the theme attractions and National Parks too. Probably why I never went back to Samet, as some goon has his money grubbing hand out before you get your feet wet. I think I told another where to go on Koh Chang when I was inland near a waterfall. Often seems like random scroungers trying it on!
  14. AI can probably write a good paper for them too!
  15. That might well be true... I am close to 20 years now but my first years here were not actually on retirement extensions. I did multiple entry tourist, and multiple non-Imm Os. Things were pretty easy and casual back then. If things do change, I am hoping for a grandfathering option.... and not something more akin to a clear out!
  16. Yes, you have to fill a tax form in. First step is a COR from immigration. Tax certificate(s) from the bank showing tax paid. I stopped doing it because interest rates went so low, the rebates weren't worth the effort. The tax office were interested if I got a UK State pension as they thought that would mean I was liable to pay them than claim back.
  17. Yes you can claim back withholding tax if annual income is below the threshold.
  18. Yep....so does that mean they can set up a wooden kiosk on the road in and charge foreigners 10x more to go in now?
  19. I have not been pulled over since pre-Covid, or paid any stipend for over 6 years. You must be a frequent user of a lucrative road.
  20. Mr Newton does not produce any news articles.. more simply presents ones from other sources and gives commentary on them. They would be more suitable targets for that comment.
  21. Yes, his constant whistleblowing bordered on suicidal... now it seems clear why!
  22. Only by finding someone heading that way who might buy it at a good price. (Or a Khmer girl/guy working here, many do at restaurants.)
  23. I was rudely asked by someone if I peed in the pool, and I replied 'not my own'......
