  1. Probably better than Thailand.... they have been catering to tourists some many yeas.
  2. No doubt fawned over from cradle to their current, near grave like, condition.
  3. I have heard positive wrt Portugal and Costa Rica... there are large numbers of Europeans retired in Spain too. If it was just about cost of living Cambodia and PI would get a mention...... Thailand just has a good mix of a lot of factors.
  4. I of course have no problem with libel laws of the type we are familiar with in the West... the difference wrt defamation is it can be completely and utterly true.
  5. Part 1. Prior to a new Senate being established, could the lower house get a PM selected, appointed and up and running? Part 2. Does a new Senate alone have the power to push through a new constitutional amendment? Part3: Same as 2.
  6. You should get out more... they wander about looky loo style. Sniffing at the doors but timid to try and enter........
  7. So this cannabis thing is the 3rd most important issue to you, thankfully you don't get a vote.
  8. This guy is going to Cambodia and could be going overland...and specifically posted in a Pattaya Forum.... but good thought for others.
  9. And please help me..... what then would the process be to select a PM? Could it go ahead without a Senate, taking votes only from the lower house, or would we have to have a new Senate selected first?
  10. One of the better Sky (UK) reporters has spent a month there (Stuart Ramsay) and I am keen to catch that report.
  11. Or they could consider subsidizing the flights, perhaps cutting tourist flight landing charges, airport taxes etc. Rather than attempting to get another tax approved......
  12. But they did vote... they voted 'Abstain', they were not marked absent. The tragedy is that their votes are even required... and that abstention carries the same result as a NO vote. It's a stitch up.
  13. If it were not for the fact he previously exhibited little humour, I would suspect he is having a good laugh at the mansion now.
  14. Why? It's National Park, not a playground, nor a golf course. Shall we allow other sports like motocross, ATV riding, cricket and rugby? The small, hard balls golfers use sure hurt when they hit! What arrogance. And 10x the price for a farang to get some practice swings in!
  15. Yep, just type in 'Link' as an alternative to several inches of gobbledegook!
  16. jacko45k replied to NewGuy's topic in Pattaya
    Hasn't got enough paper......
  17. Well you have a good laugh then and enjoy yourself....
  18. Why would you call it a referendum rather than an election....? Doesn't really fit the meaning.
  19. Well the thread is about Dengue with no direct human to human transmission, and is not near as communicable as Covid... fret not thyself.
  20. Distraction. And your 'no travel without vaccine' claim is law in how many countries?
