Some of these older WIN guys I would never expect them to accept other payment methods than cash, in fact I keep plenty change to avoid 'no hab change' scenarios. They have moved all the tills around again in BigCX..., I get a sense that the convenience lines for those with half a basket full are being covered less in preference for the big weekly shop. I let the elderly person with a single item pass me... soon that will be me!

Tipping is another issue, I would like to see them paid a decent fixed income and not be dependent on mooching off customers.

Or conversely, there may be complacency, that now private vehicles are not pumping out the pollutants, we can afford a bit more at the power station chimneys! Reducing that requires some focus and long term effort too..... along with public transport, goods transportation (HGVs and the like), trains, lawn mowers and many other sources, even rubbish disposal. I was in Bangkok recently, and despite the electric trains, I felt it unsafe to even breathe with the level of vehicle pollution.

That surprises me a little, always thought it was not allowed, the big ones would be a chore to change that's for sure.

What triggered my comment, was when I went out to my vehicle yesterday. Walking through BigCX carpark, I passed quite a few cars/trucks with sidelights on, and engine running.

How much of that current consumption could be attributed to EVs ATM.? You make a good point well though.

At least they don't sit in their vehicles with the engine running in car parks!
