  1. A good summary of one of the best options, thank you.
  2. I can, with experience, tell you...no.
  3. jacko45k replied to gerry53's topic in Pattaya
I have not used them myself but this name comes up a lot discussing wills etc for foreigners in Thailad Thai888 Law
  4. Try getting there now!
  5. It's a troll......
  6. You were fortunate, it kills some.
  7. Yes, going round sticking 2 inch pieces of masking tape on it is pathetic. Need to get the vehicle out of there fast.
  8. All this 'will he won't he' nonsense is a waste of people's time.
  9. My neighbour did once... he was in from out of town and I downloaded the Bolt App onto his phone. He promptly made a mess of the job by ordering a m/c instead of a car..... I am capable of a good whistle with fingers in mouth, so getting the WIN drivers attention is easy... plus I know if I brought a Bolt bike near to them it might stir trouble.
  10. Exactly my thought..... plasticine might be better. Or get him some Lego,
  11. Looking forward to some of the London style measures being applied to Bangkok!
  12. I tried one of those and it doesn't seem to bother the dogs but irritates me..... A bigger one that made their ears bleed might be an idea.
  13. This place is well out of town and yes, if it broke the law, it should be addressed. But we all know if you have a fancy restaurant and disco over the sea right in the tourist areas, that is allowed!
  14. They could take a walk down the promenade...oh wait, it's all ripped up again. Another fancy futuristic picture, and figment of someone's creative imagination......but hey, how about we finish the Beach Rd footpath, the 2nd Rd work, soi 15 behind the Avenue and some other projects first.
  15. We were having a discussion about the security at a Buakhao bar beating up on 2 big fat troublesome drunks not long ago..... one person posting was denying Thais fought in packs......this incident may open a few eyes... don't get in it with the locals!
  16. Although that sort of defeats the original purpose, which has faded and now is a distant memory. That purpose was simply proving you had money to live off for the year of the Extension..... The seasoning came in, and now we have the requirement to have money in the bank that you can not spend... nonsensical.
  17. Never had an issue, but maybe sometimes I drew out some spendies at the same time. I certainly don't do it with my FD account which I switched to after a few years.. that seems much easier to use, not having 3/4 transactions per week at least, and the savings account often adding the need to get a new passbook, and take 2 along with me. The FD gets only 3 transactions a year, two interest additions, and the 'update' (without deposit or withdrawal) at extension time.
  18. It's making her endure a sermon or two before ,,, were you ever in the Salvation Army?
  19. Oh I am rubbish except after a dozen beers after which I become fluent... or is that fluid?
