Thailand Aims to Attract 25.8 Million Asian Tourists in 2024
I went to both India and China multiple times when working, back in the 80s...... some impressions of incredible poverty have tainted my knowledge of how the places may be nowadays.

Tragic twist: Aussie teen’s suspicious death in Thailand fuels family’s heartfelt repatriation quest
How old was that diving school guy? Young people get themselves into trouble more, and older people do not appeal to local punks like the young girls might.

Me too, awful. And to add insult I had to sign some sheet all in Thai that I later found out was like a customer evaluation.. and they had pre-filled it, saying I was cancelling because I couldn't afford it!

Thailand Aims to Attract 25.8 Million Asian Tourists in 2024
I believe it was on this Forum I read today that per capita daily spending in Thailand, by Indian tourists, was catching up to that of Chinese tourists, putting both into the super-spender group! Absolutely gobsmacked!

Tragic twist: Aussie teen’s suspicious death in Thailand fuels family’s heartfelt repatriation quest
Doesn't seem like we have the same eerie mystery and ominous sense of danger when someone mentions Koh Chang or Samet though do we?

Yes I have the same problems with dog owners.... neighbours dogs barking and yelping now as I type! Dog owners too are self absorbed..... I wouldn't have the cat if the wife hadn't gone soppy over it coming to the house very young and starving. Last one got sick and I had o have it put down and I didn't enjoy that drama either.

Opinion: Thailand is at a crossroads because of unelected, unaccountable bodies
Yes and it is still around. Likely saved wifey's mother's life when she got blood poisoning, and wifey herself got treated after an animal bite for 30 baht!

It is getting them to pay up for it, apparently dying is not sufficient every time.

South Pattaya Residents Fed Up with Restaurants Allegedly Throwing Trash in Canal
Used cooking oil too, or does that all end up in baht buses and tourist coaches?

My old one certainly did like to stand on the old motorcycle seats and do that claw padding thing, but I put those net covers on and it cured that. Not getting feral cats where I live, probably the village dog packs take care of them....I still have no idea where my cat does it's business...and it can stay that way. .(your place perhaps).

Thai baht’s unexpected surge makes a splash, takes the lead in Asian currency gains
Stand by....there has been a turn back towards weakness this morning, and the way Thai politics is going I expect that will be the longer wave direction.

I have heard they might just dig up a flower now and again but do they really do damage to property.?....Surely relative to dogs, that shxt where they please, splash walls umpteen times a day, kill other animals (cats included), chew up furniture, will pull up your sprinklers and bark their stupid head off at squirrels and other dogs, cats begin to look benign... mine just lies about asleep all day!

Simply unsure..... There is no passport check, and many places probably skip the TM30......
