What are 'border passes' in this context? I thought the money was to apply some medical insurance for the benefit of tourists, not pay airport facilities. I used my UK ATM card recently, got hit with 220 baht fee for that facility..... isn't there some of that can be used?

Well I mailed mine to Wolverhampton at the beginning of the year so I think not. There have been quite a lot of postal strikes there and it isn't that reliable here.

I have usually managed to do one at the 3rd junction or to come back for the Tesco/Lotus Mall near The Thai Garden Resort. THe shop owners are hard to please... they want to have parking available as well as traffic access.... the state of mayhem will prevail.

I always recall seeing this tiny lady selling candies and snacks on Walking St.....would be sad if she was kicked off. I suspect this will never happen... they just keep coming back and the enforcers lose interest.
