Do you get a day off for the 28th?

Where are you..... it has been raining and never got above 28 degC where I am? Home is fine, I got the fridge set just right.... watching the rain sitting on a terrace.

Yes I got the Mrs to go to the P.O. to complain i had seen nothing for near 3 months. She was told they were short of staff but nevertheless we got a delivery a few days later. Mind you, in her rural home town the delivery guy was just tossing it into a corner and doing nothing for nearly a year... yet they said nothing.

Except in a bus shelter on the promenade or your car parked facing the sea.

I fear you may be correct but really am hoping it becomes another endemic, flu like infection. We aren't there yet.

We have had less of them due to the Covid measures.... and change in behaviour. I had my first cold for many many months in June.... I don't believe Covid strains have affected them directly but obviously less about.

As there is no mandate there is no real obligation... it is likely down to various establishments now. Many were not wearing masks in a Pattaya Mall I was in recently. I would not worry about the OP and 'Leading Thai Doctors' post, just the flapping of lips we get here. I just feel it is rather ignorant, if the people around you are still very concerned (Thais are) and are wearing masks, to be in their proximity maskless. As a guest in their country a little consideration goes a long way. One example to me would be as I am being served in a shop (7-11) or bank. (Or on the back of a WIN, as I forgot to do the other day and felt I had been ignorant myself).

In the UK it was blamed on the inability to get staff as the vetting/security process took time... and many had been laid off.... but yes a spike in infections certainly would not help. Heathrow has put a cap on passengers.

And you fail to notice the error in what you wrote....masks have been an obligation in many countries for many years .. far more oppressive ones. Not my issue if you cannot hold up the debate.... There is no mandate in Thailand....

My relative said there are too many issues and problems getting on flights at home, plus tickets are expensive. Lucky break that!

Is that how you remember it? Not me.... I saw reports and the optimistic prediction that Omicron was the vaccine we failed to make...... For me, wearing a mask is a trivial consequence or requirement.... ....I was doing it on my motorcycle anyhow due to the pollution

Do they have any treaties or alliances to fall back on? I bet China would come to help providing they were not the antagonists. Ukraine is not getting the support I would have expected prior, is that indicative of how countries really would react?

I believe about 55 mph is best, so that is the speed I drive everywhere and don't bother stopping at lights or junctions now.

Many countries need to get a grip and mange these issues.... Sri Lanka is an example of how bad it can get.

The concern now I believe is the many unvaccinated Countries where infection numbers can get high and there is potential to create more new variants.... Thailand has one such place as a neighbour and imports a lot of workers from there. I am concerned it is not over, like you I believe. But the post you replied to concerned Germany.
