  1. Not sure I would say they made it legal, they liberalized access and things sort of got out of hand...... they would likely want to put that genie back in the bottle but it has gone too far now. Might be a good thing. Casinos, don't see any benefit unless it is limited access resort type places out of town.
  2. UK was one i was thinking of. Lots of charitable organizations (and Thailand too) using plastic bags.
  3. No idea why you are trolling here..... you could try being a xxxx somewhere else perhaps. Suffice to say, it was NOT busy!
  4. At least in the cells overnight and only released to their parents after a bail payment..... but for this we need a police force that doesn't quit at 6pm.
  5. Can't say I have ever had mine checked, not sure what they do at the test centre each year I pay the tax, the Mrs takes it. But it sounds very superficial.
  6. Not only Thailand...... I see the use of plastic bags seems to have returned in many other countries. Covid, followed by the energy crisis, fear of war, inflation etc seems to have taken that worry out of the spotlight. Where I shop, in Big-CX, they still do not offer plastic bags, but many other places do now.
  7. Oh do leave it out... it is nonsense.
  8. Why do you need to add salt if you are adding chlorine directly?
  9. Seems to vary depending on what day..... weekends yes. I was out Wednesday night and would not describe it as being busy.
  10. Soi Post Office is 13/2.
  11. Her first public statement was 'Where am I, it's bloody freezing'......
  12. I am more inclines to say it evolved into a far less deadly strain ..... which now dominates earlier ones.... and we may well have forgotten how bad it was initially.
  13. For sure, the Arabs have their own script too which is different. As I recall from the telephones there!
  14. Stupid...don't hear many comments about goldfish bites!
  15. I heard there was a large trailer/ car accident on the motorway Northbound on Monday morning that brought speed down below that.
  16. It looked rather fat and lazy (the dog not me), so I took a chance to get my cheese fix!
  17. Mine seem rather whimsical compared to some of the nonsense you have posted in the couple of dog related threads. I think perhaps you were raised by wolves!
  18. The common TT places are always mentioned as offering good cash rates... beware of copycat places with a similar name or appearance. I have heard of another place located on Soi Post Office called Damini... located just after the P.O. heading towards 2nd... you might want to compare what they offer.
  19. Were they perhaps advertising some of the new condos in serene surroundings nearby!
  20. I went to an Expat shop yesterday and they had a sleeping dog right outside at the entrance. Always worries me lifting a foot over a dog like this......
  21. In my early days here the chairs were supplied by the same family that had the hut at the back that cooked meals and supplied those with cold drinks... and there weren't as many hawkers walking the beach to compete with them. Quite pleasant and a cheap afternoon, ended with a Penang Curry, Fried rice and a cold beer, then a nap as the sun went down.
  22. There usually isn't enough space on Buakhao to get a good fight going......
  23. And some say with age comes wisdom..... should have only been once!
