Can't blame the tourists any more for the terrible road death figures. Good to see that they didn't use the word "accident". Road crashes are very rarely an accident, there is always a cause.

Why do they need so many cops ? Government has "promised" there will be no violence, but if there are 9000 cops I am sure a few of them will start something.

So we will eventually be able to get to Thailand on a charter flight, if we are rich, but have they even thought about how we will get home again ? Of course not. Its not their problem ! Keep the tourists and milk them for as much as possible !

We will soon have it confirmed that half the population of USA are as stupid and moronic as Trump ! Corona virus doesn't exist as far as he is concerned. Tell that to the families over 100,000 dead people ! And I bet a lot of them will be voting for him.

So if a man puts a deposit on a vehicle in HIS name, why was she allowed to pick up the vehicle ? Did they give permission. in writing, to the seller to release it to her ? Doubt it.

James Bond is and always was, a handsome English man. So why do they now have an ugly black woman portraying him ? Oh ! Its all about political correctness ! Why can't she star in a completely separate film under a new agents name ? Probably wouldn't be a hit. I will never watch the new Jemimah Bond film. Can't see it being a success.

This not really news is it ? Happens every day all over Thailand. There must be over 100 such minor incidents every day on top of the huge number of "accidents" causing death

It defies belief, fined 500 baht, the silly woman could have quite easily killed someone.
Here in Western Australia they have just put up the fines for using mobile phones. Now if you even touch it you are up for a A$1000 fine and 4 demerit points. Only 37 people got caught on the first day !! It seems impossible to stop people using a phone whilst driving. All new cars have Apple or Android systems fitted so its easy to make calls without touching a phone.

WE won't need another Pandemic. I think this one will keep the world busy for a long time yet ! It will help reduce the world population just as wars and Spanish Flu and Bubonic Plague have done in the past.

This goes to prove that even the Thai people think Phuket is a sh**hole ! The island has been raped and ruined by developers and hotel operators and greedy people in all walks of life. In the future it will be the quiet island it was 20 years ago.

This is so obviously another way of China taking over countries a little bit at a time. We can all see it but the governments only see the money in their pockets. Just look at what's happening in Africa.

I am glad to be in Perth where our border closure is ensuring the health of us all. About 95% of WA residents support the border closure and what McGowan is doing. On another note, the Australian drug supply has been seriously affected and prices have skyrocketed. I wonder how many of the illegal protesters are druggies ?

The food on Thai Airways going back to Perth has always been disgusting ! Croissants, like the ones in the phot with cheese nd salad in them. Most people didn't eat them, but they served the same <deleted> for 15 years that I was flying this route. No way will their food be any good.

There is still a huge problem with a missing link. There are no planes flying now and probably not for another year. Bet they didn't think about that !

I am looking forward to seeing how this salvage goes. If Thai company is running it, then expect the worst ! They should at least bring in some experts to tell them how to do it properly.

So when the "new" (Already 7 years out of date !) subs arrive will they come with a fully trained Chinese submariner crew who will help them use it ? Thailand has nobody who can captain or even crew a sub. Or is it just for display ?

There are international laws that stop any vaccine or medicine being released to the world market without long term trials and approvals. Medicines must state what possible side effects may be so that's why there must be long term trials. Or can Trump overturn all that ? Only he thinks that he can !

They will have a long wait. There will be no International flights for at least a year, as announced by Qantas. ( They are laying off thousands of staff right now) Others will be the same, if they haven't gone bankrupt. I presume ALL airlines owe airports a huge amount of money for landing fees, parking, food, maintenance etc. Presume this will have to be paid up to date before any plane will be allowed in. So now is the time to see your own country, if you can find anywhere to stay !

58 minutes ago, Snow Leopard said:Why would you operate a Sub in the English Channel. The UK bases its Subs in Devonport and Faslane. Both have access to deep water very quickly and can protect the Channel. North Sea/Atlantic from East of the Shetland Islands and the Western approaches South and North of the Scilly Islands.
It was announced a long time ago that they would use it in the Gulf to check on the fish stocks ! It will have big windows fitted !

With stolen technology!
And the sub will be 7 years old already when it is delivered, if it is on time. Maybe they might have trained a submarine crew on land by then so they have some incapable people to use it, or will it just become another useless display item like the aircraft carrier and A350 planes ?

So, from the total population of Phuket, only 50 people helped with the clean up. That's pathetic and reflects the Thai attitude to rubbish and how much they care about their environment. Don't they have any trustee prisoners or people doing community service who could be made to do this job ?
