I like to go to Prachuap Khiri Khan , about 80 klms south of Hua Hin. Ao Manao is a lovely quiet

beach with shops for food over the road. A lovely fishing village about 5 klms up the road going

over the bridge.

I think we should all recognize and thank all the emergency crews who assisted the victims

and cleaned up the crash site. Pulling burnt bodies out of a bus is not a nice job, it is

very traumatic. Unfortunately the Thai authorities see it as a low paid job but they these

are the only people you can rely on in an accident. The police are useless. You cant see any of them near the bus. Check the photos.

I have sat in the front of one of these buses on a trip and I can safely say that you

couldnt hit anything faster than 10 kph without getting hurt ! There is no protection

whatsoever for the driver.

How the hell are they going to monitor approx 4000 CCTV cameras ? Cameras do not make Phuket or anywhere else safer, they only possibly show a crime being committed if they happen to be working. The bad Thai people arent worried about cameras. This has been clearly shown in

the past.

I see he was drinking the seawater. Definately dont go near him till he has had a good

dump ! Dogs are bad enough after they have been swimming.

Did you notice that they want to run the race at NIGHT over a 6 Kilometre circuit. Thats gonna be a hell of a lot of black lighting cables running across the track and looped along the safety barriers (if they have any ) and how many fluoro lights will they need ?? A good question for Crossy !

You are right, there is crap diving in Thailand and expensive. Please dont support the dive trips. They are some of the people causing problems in the diving areas. Who wants to look at an old car ferry ?? No turtles or Lionfish last time I went just bad vis and a few small fish. If you want some good diving go to Bali...Amed and Talumben.

Is this the start of Chinese people coming to Thailand to get their animal parts instead of having to buy them in their own country at a far greater price ? TAT is encouraging Chinese tourists to come to Thailand. Maybe they will put this farm in the brochures. Maybe another restaurant along the lines of the Night Safari selling snakes, lizards, bear, tiger etc. Its time for the animal conservationists to be aware.

The Thai chef said it was a major and prestigious competition. Well, it got no mention on TV, radio or newspaper that I have heard. I live in Perth and I asked a Thai restaurant owner friend about it and she had never heard of it. We dont even know where the venue was.

Judging by the number of drunken drivers nicked over Songkran I would say there were plenty of hiccups but not much safety !

They are complaining that the average tourist only spends $100 a day ! That is more than enough for a

comfortable day. We have never spent more than that on average for 2 people and that includes 3 star hotel, food, drink and transport over a 2 or 3 week period. Oh Dear ! They only want us to stay for 6 days now.

For all the people who are so worried about getting ripped off using their cards, why not use CASH to buy things and got to the counter inside the bank to withdraw money from your account. No card is needed. Never had a problem. If I draw a large amount I have to show my passport and Visa card to the Manager. The old fashioned ways are sometimes the best !

Anyways when u come from ratchada going to petcheburi theres a lil short cut just after the train track on the right its faster less cars many bikes go this way. The cops were hidding and came out in front of me...i have a nice pakob japaneese bike with no greenbook fake plates and i dont even have a bike driving licence.

So i always refuse to give my id just say no and it usually takes them 5 to 10min to let me go. Its a bit stressfull and i dont wanna be late for work but it works for me....im not waiting for your moral opinions thanks
