Any real skin clinics in Thailand?
" Most seemed to be trained to put vain Thai women under the knife to "Make More Beautiful" which more often then not makes them look like they have had cosmetic surgery that turned out so-so. I bet it's a money maker though." (quote from Connda above} How true this quote is. I have used skin clinic/hospitals in BKK and Pattaya and many of the doctors main "patients" are deluded dissatified ones who have money to pay for their dreams(or is it delusions) simply to get unnecessary treatment at a high price. They clog up the system for those of us who actually need a proper skin doctor hence need to be wary. After visiting many places i have found there are some proper dermatologists at Bumrungrad Hospital in BKK. Need to research and talk to the dept etc before getting a proper skin doctor.

Urgently need an experienced immigration agent to sort out a mess at CW
"No reason you cannot renew your permission of stay at CW from what you have posted." Thx DrJack54 I phoned immigration and asked them and explained by O visa was obtained in Chonburi but I now live in BKK. The officer said as long as i did a TM 30 I can renew in BKK at CW. Kindly close this thread as my problem answered now. 😀

Urgently need an experienced immigration agent to sort out a mess at CW
I thought this matter was sorted but apparently not. To repeat i have filed both TM 30 and Tm 47. And i live now in BKK. I am getting various suggestions/advice from knowledgeable sources outside of Thai immigration that I may have a problem when I come to renew my retirement visa. Originally many years ago I did come to live in Thailand and was based In Pattaya and obtained by non o visa from there. Because more than once I have moved back and forth between Pattaya and Bangkok I have done my renewals either in Jomtien or BKK at CW, no problem in BKK that my Visa was given to me from Chonburi. As long as when I moved the TM 30 and TM 47 was done and I satisfied the financial requirement (800k in bank etc) then it did no matter where I obtained my non" O " visa. So can anyone confirm that when it comes to renewal I can do my extension in BKK?

Urgently need an experienced immigration agent to sort out a mess at CW
Update: The agent messaged me on Line earlier today. Both TM 30 and TM 47 were successfully filed. I have copies of the receipts and will get the originals shortly. Difficult for me to make any firm conclusions from my experience. Suppose at CW in particular have to take care with the procedures when changing provinces (especially from Chonburi). Or to put it another way: if changing province at CW it may be necessary under TM 30 to get a receipt of notification for later 90 day reporting. On line TM 30 may not be sufficient.

Urgently need an experienced immigration agent to sort out a mess at CW
My main bank account is and always has been in Bangkok. And I have kept the 800 k there in a separate account for some years I also have an account in Pattaya with the same bank. Not often used. I appreciate your view which is mine that as far as we know there will be nothing to prevent me doing my annual renewal at CW. I have a 1 year renewable lease here in BKK. I appreciate your sensible and helpful in put.

Urgently need an experienced immigration agent to sort out a mess at CW
Hello sophon: The only correct thing u say is I moved to BKK from Chonburi (april 2025) and my Landlord filed an on line TM 30. I already held a renewal done in January 2025 at Chonburi No agent involved and I used the 800k in the bank method. I did the renewal myself with the 800 k held by me in my name at BKK bank Silom. So kindly do not make false and misleading and possibly libelous assumptions. I mean that in the nicest possible way. But do not accuse me of cutting corners! Dear oh dear oh dear... Anyway: Update so far. A respectable agent is now taking for myself and my Landlord documents TM 30 and TM 47 (90 day) etc. with the necessary additional documents to CW immigration and I will know the outcome in a day or so. I will update here when I know. The agent told me that there are problems at CW with anyone having a visa stamp from Chonburi. That is the likely cause of my issues. Also may I ask any knowledgeable person her in particular DrJack54 an additional question: Assuming my TM 30 and TM 47 are approved then for all intents and purposed I am living in BKK right? So I can do my next retirement renewal at CW? Thx in advance.

Urgently need an experienced immigration agent to sort out a mess at CW
I have retirement extension due in February for renewal Ironically I have never had problems with my renewals either in BKK or Chonburi -Seems some immigration officers cannot get into there heads that some of us like to live at different times in different places in Thailand and nothing in the immigration laws say we cannot do that

Urgently need an experienced immigration agent to sort out a mess at CW
Hello Tod Daniels: I have just seen your interesting reply. The example TM 30 is exactly what my landlord filed on the day I moved in, Yesterday when I presented this to the 90 day counter (with my completed TM47 app etc.) the clerk quizzed me as to why I had moved to BKK since on their system it showed I lived in Chonburi . (none of her business) Anyway: Taken aback I replied "the hospitals better in BKK" she then proceeded to write on the TM form that I had handed to her that what was needed she wrote was "Update TM 30" Despite my protests and holding up the TM 30 on line paper to her my 90 app was declined and: I was then sent to 2 other counters with no avail saying in effect they needed to have a full TM 30 form with all necessary documents. If I understand correctly the as I had moved from Chonburi to BKK is the reason why on line TM 30 is not acceptable to immigration for doing 90 day registration. Currently I will pursue this and going to Bumrungrad or accepting a fine is not on the table. I am seeking an agent or lawyer to assist me. Its been further complicated now in that the Landlord may have reluctance to assist believing they had done all they need to do with filing TM 30 on line on the day I moved in. And maybe they are right. But that does not help me if the only way I can do a 90 day is by the owner doing a non line TM 30?! I will keep this thread up dated. I

Thai immigration online 90 day reporting system (2025)
I provided a copy of the form the Landlord received from Immigration which was done when I moved into my BKK apartment. The rule seems to be that a TM 30 can of course be done on Line but because I had previously lived in Chonburi the on line TM 30 is apparently not acceptable to immigration. If a person has moved to a new province (I moved from Chonburi to BKK) then- if I understand what immigration is saying- one need to complete the "full monty" TM30 signed by the owner with supporting documentation etc and given in person to immigration. I showed the immigration the TM 30 copy given to me by my landlord but for the reasons stated above it was not accepted. Once TM 30 is approved etc then and only then can I apply for TM 47 (90 days). Which is why I assume my on line 90 day application was refused. I am just reporting what happened to me today. I don't think it was just a whim/bad day,. but who knows.

Urgently need an experienced immigration agent to sort out a mess at CW
I have explained all in the other thread. to repeat i copy here: I am completely exasperated, upset and angry. Spend all afternoon waiting to do my 90 day report. Had all necessary forms and passport. After well over 2 hours waiting and 117 ahead of me I eventually reached the counter only to be told I needed do a TM 30 with all accompanying documents before I could have my TM 47 considered. I was sent to 2 other immigration officers who confirmed that was so. "No need to do another TM30"- -words spoken here. And I stupidly believed what I was told. I assumed that because my Landlord had submitted on line there was no need to do a TM 30. No said immigration. Because i had been living previously in Chonburi then according to the immigration officer(s) TM 30 cannot be done on line. And of course despite not being young any more they have no mercy. Any way I have posted separately on here asking if anyone can recommend an experienced immigration agent to help me.

Could anyway please recommend as soon as possible an immigration agent to sort out a problem preparing and making a TM 30 application and also a TM 47 App as well. Would like the agent to do both applications on my behalf. I am based in Bangkok and deal with CW office.

Thai immigration online 90 day reporting system (2025)
I have never used an agent but for health and aggravation reasons in this instance I may do so. Not decided. But my question is if I send an agent is that ok/I do nor have to go actually in person? If i do decide to go on person what documents /copies do i need? I really appreciate your input.

Thai immigration online 90 day reporting system (2025)
E Exactly like that, So I do not need to make a TM 30 report....right? Then as I have done my TM 30 and have the receipt...why was my 90 report rejected? (that is why I ask if i need to resubmit my 90 app....)

Thai immigration online 90 day reporting system (2025)
Thank u for your reply. On the day I moved in my landlord registered me with immigration on line and i have the form that Thai immigration sent to the Landlord giving my address passport etc with my new address. Is not that compliance with TM 30? or am I confusing myself???

Thai immigration online 90 day reporting system (2025)
For some years I have applied on line successfully. My report date is 7 July . I applied on line 23 June. Today 24 june I was rejected and told to report immediately to immigration. on 21 April I moved from pattaya to bkk and my landlord gave me the tm6 detail confirmed by thai immigration. So I am a loss to know why rejection: no reason given. I will need to go to immigration with a completed form tm 47. CW. What other copy documents are needed? Also I assume there is no point in my reapplying on line? Thx in advance.

PC : 35 watt or 65 watt?
I am considering buying a new computer , desk top. I am not a technical person. The one suitable for me has a few available. Both very similar but the one with 65 watt is more expensive than the 35 watt one, otherwise they are more or less the same. I did an AI search which suggests that for routine computer work , emails and watching movies etc 35 watt is ok for me. Grateful for any input here before I decide... Thank u in advance.

Don't you get tired of fear mongering
Don't you get tired of fear mongering: like those on this forum who tried to frighten those retirees living in Thailand that they needed to pay Thai tax when the reality is most do not need to do so. (according to what the Thai tax offices around Thailand have told them)

Can I transfer Apps etc., from my mobile to my tablet?
A few days ago, i almost lost my Android phone but recovered it from a decent shop where I had foolishly left it due to absentmindedness. Anyway, just suppose I did lose my Android phone and unluckily it was not recovered though it is protected with a password. Now I also have a tablet which I keep at home and has its own phone number. So, if my phone is lost: can I get AIS (used for phone and tablet) to transfer any calls and messages including on my Line account from my phone to my tablet? I have bank activity which I use on my phone. This includes overseas bank namely Revolut. Can that be transferred from my phone to my tablet? What I am asking therefore is : can any or all activities and Apps be transferred from my phone to my tablet? Many thanks for any help!

Earthquake Rocks Bangkok: Building Collapses with 40 people inside
Many thanks your helpful reply. Nevertheless, and currently, I am minded to move as scheduled. I have it in written form that the building is safe. If that proves incorrect, I can take action against the landlord for what I hope will be substantial damages. If after I move in the building collapses, I hope to not be at home! 😗

Earthquake Rocks Bangkok: Building Collapses with 40 people inside
I am scheduled to move and rent a low rise apartment in Silom after Songkran. (deposit paid contract not signed ) The owner says: "after further inspection no damage after assessment. All structure is sound and unaffected. Our low rise building is safe to accommodate" I have messaged some acquaintances in same area who say no damage where they stay. I am minded moving in as per agreement. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?
