bristolgeoff replied to Social Media's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
From what i know and have seen, bar ladies have a few.Others have more.I know many have the budda one on their back.End of the day it is personal choice.I have 2 very small ones, but will not have another one.If the lady is ok then a few tattoo,s are not a problem I was at a tattoo convention a few yrs ago in cnx, they were people with tats on most of their body.some was art and others were a big mess, even seeing them I still would not get anymore -
Much Higher Traffic Fines in Effect from Sept 5
bristolgeoff replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Increase the fines will have some affect, but overall nothing will change.Driving is always a risk in thailand, paying the fines or the accidents -
The bigger clubs, the one in the middle are always busy with farang and thais in the high season.close round 4 am.If they was a fire i know the entrance is very big and people would get out quickly, they would not hang around.safety important of course but I think the club or owner knows this and provides for this other wise many clubs would not be operating sucessfully

After 8 yrs thing go up so fares will rise, understand that.Grab have a lot of customers or cars and take away from the taxis. The skytrain has the customers too, plus the motorbike taxi,s .The only thing is the taxis will still run the cars with the meter off or say no meter.A tip is always expected more from the farang than thais. So if you use taxis in bkk you should know the rules, overall if you need transport, the fares are reasonable which ever u chose. when i return jan i will use a motor taxi to find seiko house being they before, but the bike is quick and easy.I will ask the price but a fair price from them, could be return or 1 way.I expect a price maybe of 100 to 200 baht. That is want I expect to pay and jan I will know. The only thing is the motorbike is not for everyone to use as a taxi.

Thailand 300 baht entry fee for tourists set to start in early 2023
bristolgeoff replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I Know and remember the 500 baht tax machine at the airport before u left or thru customs.Later included in the ticket departure.I thought that included something towards insurance tax or health insurance. The 300 baht extra which they say is for a hospital fund for tourist will be a big earner when tourist return.Don,t know if right but most people do have travel insurance, some don,t of course the reason for begging on go fund me. Most tourist will see it as a increase in arrival tax and they is not much anyone can do. -
Thailand grapples with allowing more Chinese landowners
bristolgeoff replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I know to own land or property in thailand very strict rules.Thai ownership is 51 percent i believe.the rest is the farang. From what i hear in australia they have brought up lots of land for milk etc and now it all goes back to china. What i have read not everyone is very happy about this.So thailand must be careful too.Cambodia sold they soul down sth for big hotels casino,s now, private beaches where before public and very nice to visit.Lots of chinese just staying in the hotel gambling and whatever else.So just be careful in opening the gates for chinese and buying land, just think if some of the islands were sold and then you see a complete chinese resort with hotels and casino,s. not what the tourist trade or thais really want.but a few thais will be rich it for it -
