It happens every year and every year the government is blah blah,nothing really is implemented. This year very early and one of these years they will need to actually do something about it instead of just blaming others and hoping for the rains to come. As Lordgrinz said,still a lot of smoke from vehicles and soon the farmers will start burning straw and sugarcane. Same same every year. This government is just fighting amongst themselves hoping to be on the right side of whomever will be in power next. There are no easy answers and some group or another will not be happy with whatever is decided. Just closing the schools has no real effect on the problem.
