Basically anything that doesn't require a deep fryer, really.

But for sure re-heating something to 70C with normal heat is a lot healthier than having a microwave oven with its microwaves thawing the stuff with their huge power, pushing it past 100C and destroying a lot of nutrients?
Reheat a slice of pizza with a microwave oven and a grill and see the difference. Same goes for eating cooled-down food after its been microwaved... inedible.

These things are awesome, especially the mini oven. If you want healthy, roast vegetables or buy frozen ready-to-eat meals that look healthy.
If you want yummy, you can make some nice pizza baguettes in there.
I love to use these instead of a microwave as microwaving somehow destroys the nutrients... merely heating (not burning!) mostly doesn't.

Try that pub on the left of Nana Plaza entrance. 8% surcharge!

I am pretty should an agent could take care of these for an extra fee. Certainly worked at the rather strict embassy in Cambodia where it was $5 extra for the agent.

Many hotels on booking.com can be cancelled for free on the day (and night) you would "check in". For most no prepayment is needed.
Since everybody can do that the whole hotel booking requirement is silly. And from what I've heard Kota Bahru is a lot easier than KL.
Penang might be the easiest (and most convenient) choice. Just pay 200 Baht and have the agent do the visa there.

Murica in a nutshell. I can't believe stuff like this goes on national TV. What an utterly ignorant nation. I'm lost for words.

ASEAN should mean free trade. This is ridiculous.

Isn't the whole of Pattaya a "Happy Zone"?

Good luck trying to get a refund from Expedia!
Took me 7 months but got there in the end, that was the Thailand Expedia. You need to check the T&Cs of the ticket.
I used Skype, and be ready to be put on hold interminably, and generally knocked back several times.
You could also try the Webpage where there is a feedback / email option.
They were ignoring my direct emails.
That's why you should always book with the airline directly. Only crappy airlines give you inflated prices on their own website when compared to resellers. Also, try changing a flight through a reseller. You get overcharged or might be told it's impossible.... or you might just get the run-around "contact the airline directly" vs. "why are you calling us? Call the ticket seller!".
On a related note, if it's about hotel bookings, I found booking.com to have some excellent customer service. All complaints settled to my satisfaction and refunds issued promptly.

Disgusting treatment and show. You either have laws or you don't. What a bunch of muppets.

You can call ANY number with Skype. Costs peanuts and the other person won't know you are using Skype, they just get a regular "call" from within their country.
Edit: Not ANY number, just normal local numbers. No "premium" service numbers.

Fun watch
This movie is actually quite funny. I don't know why it got such a low rating.

Passed by yesterday... loads of them.

At about 11pm, a fishing boat named Sirinamchok 8 found him about 200 meters away from the snorkeling drop off point.
So they couldn't search an area the size of a football field?!

Absolutely possible with a driver high on yaba and leaving from Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi at night time.

This map is not very friendly to red-green blind people. Why not choose blue and red?

In my experience, if you talk nicely to the landlord you can stay in any 12-month place for six months and just pay about 10% more per month. It's all about negotiation.

Coming here after 6 years abroad I was shocked by the state of the traffic. No, it's not minivans or public transport... it's that every Somchai needs to dive around with his car to to his errands. It's ridiculous. You can be stuck for HOURS in traffic. Why isn't motorcycle use being pushed? The rest of Thailand does it?

Best: Singapore Airlines, with Thai International second.
Worst: Any Low Cost Carrier - take your pick. Worst because of low safety standards and records to match. Safe flying was never meant to be this cheap.
Ah, because AirAsia had that many accidents, right? There was one plane going missing in 20 years of operations... not too bad, right?
Better get your facts straight. Low cost carriers RENT planes so in fact they normally have newer planes than flag carriers.
-
Mhhhh can't you just torch it?
-
Did you know you can just skip the queue if you're about to miss your flight? Geez...

AFAIK there is a trade agreement with Australia, that's why you "only" pay 400 Baht for your $6.99 cask.

Back to the tax. Like everything else here there is no rhym or reason that they target to tax wine. The only possible reason I can think of, and I am reaching here, is the beer makers and whiskey distributors want to suppress consumption of wine and have lobbied to have it heavily taxed.
But beer is taxed heavily as well? The cheapest beer in Germany is under 11 Baht for 500 ml (including 19% VAT AND beer tax). The cheapest beer here? Cheers 490 ml at 44 Baht. Thats 300% more.
About the same tax as wine it seems (though I know in reality it is some 170%).
We once did a project for uni in Bangkok, trying to import Argentinian wine. Guess what? The total for a $5 imported bottle came to 500 Baht... and that is before any profit. The taxes over here are just crazy.
What healthy meals could I cook with one of these? (photo)

If you're lazy and just want awesome tasting food, go with the airfryer option mentioned earlier. I have the Actifry and it works a treat. Can basically cook anything in there and don't have to watch it. Throw in the food, switch it on and it shuts down by itself after 20 mins or so.
