Critical analysis has never been a Thai strength... never taught, never endorsed, never promoted.
it explains many things and in general makes life for the haves pleasanter, if more precarious

As to the possibility that there was even a whiff of corruption involved in the whole process......
well, that is completely absurd and it would be unpatriotic to make further investigations!

just call the US and get some true traffic accident reconstructionists who can lay it all out. I am sure the UK as well as Australia and NZ also have folks who could do it. Stop the games.

Shocking case indeed and hopefully if he,s guilty (little doubt IMHO) he never sees light of day again....but why oh why do they have to drag him down to soi Buk. for a re-enactment when the actual murder took place miles away.......
The light is better for photography, with a more dramatic juxtaposition of colors and textures.........

Lifting the lockdown will bring the death rate on Thai roads every DAY back to the usual 45, roughly the total Covid 19 toll to date. That never stopped anyone from driving...

I ride my pushbike on that motorway. There is a major section NOT finished. Not large, could be completed in a few days, but there is a reason it's not finished us minions aren't allowed to know. Some stupid politics I'm sure.

I don’t suppose they would consider opening the motorway, that showpiece of the EEC, which has been years in construction, and is now finished and lying fallow. Probably it has already done what it was designed to do, now that the budget has been spent. Let’s keep it for a rainy day....

Take them cycling around wat yansangwararam, with a picnic under one of the salas there (mostly cycle path) .
Or cycle in the Sattahip navy camp near navy golf course to hat sai kaew beach.. virtually no traffic. Lunch can be picnic at beach.
Teach them to paddle board or windsurf at amara water sports.
get them to do a sailing course with navy or royal Varuna yacht club.
go for a picnic at khaochamao np, waterfall.

Are you serious? How am I bashing Thailand? Now two gunmen shooting indiscriminately at locals in the past week. This country has never had to deal with this sort of Western influenced behaviour before now.
face obsessed people with little education, easy access to guns and lax law enforcement make a heady cocktail

So much wrong with what just came out of this little man's mouth. That was extremely racist and xenophobic. Very ugly to see a person of his stature in the government talking like this.
I'm guessing some 'white people' said no when he offered them a mask. I'm guessing they may have refused to be in a picture. He's obviously lost face and just let words come out of his mouth in a fit of anger.
He asked Thai people to help kick out foreigners who don't wear masks. Let that sink in. A man who said this virus is like a common cold, who said stopping people coming in from mainland China won't make a difference, a man who's been seen in pictures with people who were ill not wearing a mask - has the audacity to tell people to help roundup people who don't accept his crappy masks and kick them out.
This man is one of the top men helping run this country. God help Thailand.
being remotely intelligent has never been a requirement for public office in Thailand

It's difficult to see how a religious civil war between the Sunni and Shia isn't almost inevitable in this modern age at some point considering the riches and equipment/tech each side has with a big dollop of hatred/intolerance that make a "Day of reckoning" all the more tempting for religious lunatics. If they (the local clerics on each side) all want to decimate the Middle East and take each other to task in a religious blood feud then there may not be much anyone can do about it and it might have to happen for an extended period of peace in that region to be ushered in. The US and Iran are both baiting each other which will only hasten aforementioned scenario.

I hope we see clarification and finessing of the laws concerning holiday rentals. That is a huge and growing potential for sustainable Thai tourism in itself.

Has also carried me and the gf 55,000 km’s around Thailand in the last 3 years without any complaints.
Have no experience of the others but the Jazz has served me admirably.Jazz at 12 years / 255,000 km, still going strong..... I will buy another Jazz when this one finally pops its clogs..
