If they say from October all you need is your UK vaccination card and nothing else I'll be back to the wife and daughter asap. I just fear whatever hoops they get rid of, they'll add a dozen more more awkward ones
3 million baht extra insurance for example, even if you have one.... probably from a single supplier, why not? After all, if you have a foot, you may as well shoot it...

"The new visa package, which if all goes to plan will be announced in June, "
Well ,let's see if anything comes out of this. At the very least eliminating the 90 day reporting would be a step in the right direction.
The money that bent immigration officials get out of it maybe be a slight obstacle...

Looks like the beach area was not sterilized enough in the last make over, so they are coming back to finish the job.......What's left of the big trees could very well be headed for the chopping block.....But boy do they love palm trees........Looks like they will be planted by the thousands..........
They plant Palm trees absolutely everywhere....And I think they pretty much hate all other trees.....
There’s money in palm trees.... depending on specie$.

How extraordinarily talented these people are! Imagine that! Setting targets.....
Then, amble back from setting targets, and have a few practice shots... maybe.. but I’m sure a good lunch was had by all.

Hope he made his review on TripAdvisor and they come to the rescue...
Trip Advisor paid for the legal costs of the ‘other guy’ who recently made the headlines after leaving going on somewhat of a vendetta against a hotel in Koh Chang - the guy had to publicly apologise and TripAdvisor had to agree to remove their reviews but had the last laugh circumnavigating the agreement with a ‘Message from Trip Advisor’ on the hotels TripAdvisor Site...
The defamation laws in Thailand do nothing other than drag the country down - no good whatsoever comes of them the only serve the wealthy and powerful in their abhorrent business practices.
The saddest part is that the wealthy don’t seem to think they will go down with the rest of the country... talk about a sense of entitlement, or frankly, lack of vision.

On the other hand, a fare increase will help the government garner interest in public transport and infrastructure investments, funded and run by the private sector.... surely more efficiently than state run.

The informal sector must account for a substantial part of the tourism take. I’m in pattaya so I think the obvious springs to mind......beach vendors, jet ski mafia, taxi mafia, for example, and all the various ways that a pleasant hour can be spent (for cash!) in the company of the opposite sex...
Since these trades don’t officially exist, I assume they are also officially not counted as unemployed....?

What would you buy right now - BTC or gold?
I think that BTC is going to take the gold market, but I could be wrong.
BTC just passed 1,000,000 baht! I started buying it when it was 88,000 baht and survived and Hodled a long 3 -year bear market. I remember being ridiculed here by some gold maximalists ????
It’s a silly question.... most people would buy both

Critical analysis has never been a Thai strength... never taught, never endorsed, never promoted.
it explains many things and in general makes life for the haves pleasanter, if more precarious

As to the possibility that there was even a whiff of corruption involved in the whole process......
well, that is completely absurd and it would be unpatriotic to make further investigations!

Shocking case indeed and hopefully if he,s guilty (little doubt IMHO) he never sees light of day again....but why oh why do they have to drag him down to soi Buk. for a re-enactment when the actual murder took place miles away.......
The light is better for photography, with a more dramatic juxtaposition of colors and textures.........
