The truck driver needs shooting... this is attempted murder !...
OK.. thats somewhat of an exaggeration... But there is no way this truck driver is unaware that the end result of this stupid blind overtake is that he could end up killing an innocent person or family.
These actions really do need punishing to the most severe extent of the law.
This is not simply dangerous driving, its attempted manslaughter.
Law and thailand: oxymoron

Labour (Labor) Day is not a holiday for Government employees. It's a 'workers' holiday.
Government personnel get Royal ploughing day off as compensation (May 14th I believe )
Maybe they realize that government employees don’t work".........

He better buy a lottery ticket today, he will never be this lucky again! As for the idiot, needs to be hung! he will probably never learn.
I am not sure that severing his spinal cortex would make much difference: he is already brain dead.

Managed to squeek under the 60 per day mark. Congradulations are in order. I think that all the top officials should get a big bonus check and a photo op.
Common alcohol. You can do better than that! A bit more effort required

Thais are the funniest people on the planet.
In general it boils down to the education system.
That means that Thailand can be sure to retain its number one spot in the "funniest people on the Planet" competition, though off course Congo, Sudan and Somalia would be competitors.
Its great!
Just stay away from roads, confrontations with males, and females with buffalo problems.
Apart from that, given the general education level, they are relatively cheap and compliant, including the powers that be.
Every household should have one!

I think this is precisely how this case will end. Fatso will pay 12 million (peanuts for him) and walk off with a suspended sentence. Its the official version of the bribe he offered.....

Why do these measures come up only for Songkran? Yes, Thai roads are worse during the holidays, but they suck year-round; why not work to reduce the carnage year-round?
Why not test for alcohol on every serious accident, all the time?
This has all the usual noise of being a "crackdown" which is essentially meaningless noise that passes in a day or two. Like a fart.
Thailand- are you proud to have the most dangerous roads in the world? Do something!

Wake up and smell the coffee.
This is how you make pork chops

We need a jolly good crackdown

here we go - blame the coach, the fact that the driver was high on Yabba has nothing to do with it
coaches like these are safely operated all over the world, why not Thailand
I wish they would get some educated people in to run this country
Thais are not the same as other people.......

Well last year in our town, two 20 something girls obviously drunk, became amarous together and next thing were on the ground kissing and fondling each other,a group of young lads egging them on,shorts and panties off one girl came off,and the other was down on her, then the Police came and stopped them,i was most dissapointed,it was just harmless fun.
If that is the case, this year I may make a Songkrahn excursion, rather than digging in at home with 4 large boxes of beer for 7 days

2015 - China has 16m households earning >$55k/yr
2030 - China has 142m households earning >$55k/yr
2015 - 12% of Chinese have passports
2030 - 40-50% of Chinese have passports
+ Bangkok's one of their favorite getaways, as we've become aware.
= What we're seeing now is NOTHING compared to what's coming. The invasion hasn't even really begun yet.
They won't need passports by 2030....

The future looks bright. There will always be a plentiful supply of cheap labour here.......
The system needs a dumb majority, unqualified for productive work in the real world, and so the system will keep churning them out of schools and universities.
Let sleeping dogs lie and enjoy.....
