I think what he's trying to say is that when you use Wise or similar services they don't actually transfer the funds directly from your US bank to your Thai bank. they bypass the old, slow and expensive SWIFT network and instead send the THB to you from one of their partner Thai banks. I suppose this is why the "Head of Immi" doesn't like it, assuming that whole conversation wasn't just a dream ????

I'm in the situation you described. my first ever 90 day report is due on the 27th of March so I guess I'll find out in about a week if I can do it online or not. if not I'll happily pay an agent a few bucks to come and pick up my passport and do the report for me. do you have any agent recommendations for this (I'm in central Bangkok)?
