  1. No, "adds" means adds. "Ads" means advertising. This kind of stuff is why I left Australia. At least the Thais have an excuse for getting it wrong ????
  2. @admin please change the title to append the name of the particular immigration office that is being discussed here.
  3. You said you don't get any "adds" on YouTube. I assume that means nobody has added you as a friend or subscribed to your channel whatever "add" means viz a viz YouTube (I don't use it that much).
  4. Nobody added you as a friend? How sad ????
  5. Whilst we're naming and shaming, why not mention the Western countries who refused to give asylum to the Jews who wanted to flee Nazi Germany? They're just as much responsible for the Holocaust as the Nazis.
  6. I looked this up a few years ago but everything I found was too complicated for my puny brain so I just use VLC now and open the subtitle file manually. The K.I.S.S. approach ????
  7. Indeed it is. The OP is encouraging corruption by giving the extra 100 baht. <deleted>
  8. Why you don't just use TM30 online when you come back home from a trip and stop worrying. Or do you live in a province that won't accept online submissions like another fella mentioned last week?
  9. AN have some sort of syndication agreement with TT that allows them to post links to selected articles. I suspect that that agreement stipulates that the articles are shown "as is". If you click on enough links in a "visa" related article on TT, you'll eventually get to a part there they offer to take care of all your needs. For a fee of course. The last such link I clicked on they wanted ฿20k to assist with a retirement extension. Hand-holding only, you still need money in the bank LOL.
  10. I doubt anybody from the AN news team will read your comment, maybe send Rooster a DM if you feel that strongly about it. Or report the post. OR head over to TT and create an account and communicate your concerns to them directly.
  11. Agree, however most people just don't want to know. I've had fellers get angry with me when I tell them they're here on an extension and not a visa. The same guys who stamp their foot and call you pedantic well then turn around and get upset when you call football "soccer" ????
  12. Nor will they be as the article is from The Thaiger and Rooster isn't responsible for the content they produce.
  13. There's still one of those guys left on Patpong, I see him in the Pink Panther on the rare occasion I'm down there. Older Thai fella, white goatee, rides a Honda Phantom I think. Dunno how much business he gets, if any. Not sure what type of camera he uses either as i'm not a photography buff and even if I did ask I'd be too plastered to remember the info.
  14. The email reminder system failed just recently and caught a few people out, so best not to rely on it.
  15. Of course they do but their target audience doesn't.
  16. The basics will be fine, a list showing the other persecuted groups and the number of deaths.
  17. could we please have some more details about the 0.1 million non-Jews? they seem to get forgotten about in all the hubbub.
  18. No could be about it... https://aseannow.com/topic/1291384-new-rules-for-opening-a-bank-account/page/2/#comment-18003690
  19. Thanks man, I'll check it out. They got the Japanese beers too I hope? Sorry but I can't drink sake, spirits done agree with me.
  20. Got any sushi joint recommendations for Bangkok? I haven't gotten around to exploring that genre yet although I have had some nice sushi at Sasaya Silom.
  21. Depends on the restaurant. I have it on good authority that casual wait staff at a certain Western-owned international hotel chain don't get a share of the service charge. I've also been told that foreign managers, who are already on decent packages, get a share of the service charge. No wonder the taxi and tuk tuk drivers try to "rip off" the tourists, they're just following the example set by the purer-than-the-driven-snow foreign companies ????
  22. Translate uses part of the Lens however the Lens app itself has additional functionality. Eg. You can take a screenshot of say a product description on Lazada, open Lens and then select the image and translate it and/or copy text. Your can also use the Search function I think it is to do a 'live' translation of text. That was well handy when I was taken to a Taiwanese restaurant in Sri Racha that only had Thai/Chinese menus. Translations aren't perfect but I get by with them as Lens is the only option I've stumbled across so far.
