Thoughts:- "I'd rather live my life with God and find out in the end there isnt, than live my life without God and find out in the end there is". "It doesnt cost and arm and a leg to give your heart to God with love, and you'll never be the same again" Thats not my promise but God's. What sort of a lfe lost in a wilderness do those live without at least some sort of god to guide them? A very good teacher appeared about 2000 years ago, probably the best, "to show us the way", and who would follow their own ways in preference to His? who else sets a standard for our life? well the choice is ours to go astray by not following Him, as surely is happening at every level in society AGAIN. Unfortunately, man made religions generally have caused so much division between and within:- Nations, Families and Religions. We've all heard :-"If all else fails read the instruction manual". So how about the "instruction manual for life", especially part 2? Billions have chosen it, so until something better comes along, watch that space and in the mean time live and let live.

The most basic thoughts could be:- how beautiful is this "blue marble" planet, "what a wonderful world" sang Louis Armstrong, "they're only saying I love you", if everything was reduced to just one word it surely would be "love", and perhaps whatever God is, is a showoff for us to love and appreciate this one-off planet that was somehow made, we could all appreciate being here, all our needs are provided yet man has fought wars and also continued futile arguements on this forum. A simplistic view yes, and perhaps worth thinking also about that old saying:- "I shall pass through this world but once, if there be any kindness I can show or any goodness I can do , let me not tarry, let me do it now, for I shall not pass this way again". Coud aligning with some of the above musings sow a seed and lift the value of some lives into living loving caring and sharing? and it it is free.

Gravity, air, electricity in wires, love, and many other things we cant see but can believe in. Food for thought? Without the "word of God" in the commonly referred-to book "the instruction manual for life" part 2 in particular, and other books that encourage us to a worthy life, where would the world be? Things were bad enough 2000 years ago, (as are again now,) when just one worthy "golden rule" surfaced:- "Do unto others as you would have them do to unto you" could make a difference again on this beautiful "blue marble planet". The mind boggles about:- the miracle of our conception, birth, body, brain power, being just the right distance from the sun not to fry or freeze etc etc etc. The incredible creator is not a "he" but if we are to believe in something invisible and good to daily give thanks to, well so be it. Each to their own, and yet feeling compassion for those in this forum filled with anger and hatred. Mmmm... "love makes the world go round" is not very scientific but worthy of imagination and fullfillment?

This topic is just about dead but one thing wasnt mentioned much, except Jak reminded JingThing:- "I can only guess it's because you believe you are from Jewish race of people. But I don't think genetically there is a Jewish race...like there is African, Asian, etc." On my pilgrimage to Israel, the splendidly dressed, tall, back, lovely, Ethiopian Jews stood out, graciously walking the paths where other nationalities of the Jewish faith also walked. "The Earth is but one country" from the Bahai faith. Just threw that in to think about.

I grew up in a neighbourhood with about 0.01% Russians of "Jewish faith", associated with them quite a lot, ate their special foods, celebrated occasional Friday night candle-lit dinners with yamalka (keipe) on my head and found them to be lovely people. Visited the Holy Land, was immersed in the River Jordan, walked where Jesus walked, put a small really lovely note in the Western wall for a Jewish friend, and found them also to be lovely people. Many Messianic Jews have seen "the light", mostly not so, but leave them all be, and know there's a cross section of good and bad every where. Reading between the lines, GammaGlobulin seems a decent person not appreciated by some in this forum and has bought them out of the woods with their hatred. Age old storey hey.. erring on the side of caution and all snakes are judged guilty of being dangerous until identified and proven as innocent. So many varieties and so many inexperienced people. No wonder so many harmless snakes are killed. Vetinary grade Injectable vitamin C is becoming wider known for animals being bitten. Intramuscular and subcutaneous. It work for Aus brown snake bites but maybe best to get followup vet treatment within 6? hours.

Interested in why the plastic water pipe and nylon didnt work well please? Was it a noose bend in the rope down at the end and you pulled up on the other end? if so I've made on and not used it yet.

Cant quite make out what it is exactly in Banders picture (no glass?) but did anyone see a possibility of what could be "heat tube" design? Very old and amazingly efficient technique where evaporation, transfer of energy, then condesation is used and has comparative conduction to gold bar transfer efficiencies.

Yes Crossy, of the typical 1000W/sq metre of solar insolation, the water panels might gain 80% of that energy compared to the 25% per square m of P.V. panels,(that work best in cold weather) but the max temp of the former is limited to the protected ambient air temps of water panels and "r" factor of back-of-plate insulation and maybe double glazing etc. then vacuum and mirror tubes later became state of art. Again.. my aim was high levels of stored thermal energy (because of 95water temps) for following cloudy weather. Like you say:- horses for courses. i.e. clouds and family usage. Are you into stored heat in "sand batteries" heated by P.V.? My next project. Similar principle i.e. higher thermal energy stored at phenominal temperatures like 1000 degrees?? for winter heating houses. Happening in Europe at council level. L

Couldnt locate the A/N page for my "brilliant" invention some 5 years ago. 😇 after which I discovered was commercially available anyway.🫢 Ever since originally designed by Aussie? guy, about 100? years ago, many newer desig features got temps up, better back-insulation in water plates, vacuum tubes, curved focussing mirrors etc, all to raise temp and improve efficiency. Farms till then had slow combustion stoves with a water filled back plate in the fire box. Bander you are very neat, and lucky you copied Solarhart brand design whereby the low profile tank is easy to establish that critical distance above the uppermost plate level being below the cold tank input to prevent reverse cycle at night. Older mug shaped tanks protruded high above the plates. Conversly my orig thermal plates were 3 metres above tank so needed special consids. Briefly:- a sensor in top of plate also top of tank, comparator, small circ pump for daytime. Leave it. Sure a low push-n-flow NRV and/or pump can prevent reverses cycling. Leave it. Should have tablated design reasons in the long body of orig text:- 1. A much higher tank temp of 95 is a higher stored thermal mass over many days of following clouds. Tempering vale? OH YES. Greater Delta T suggests good "r" factor of insulation to take advantage of. Much higher tank temp is possible. Even boils if bypassing the thermostat, not so with thermal plates. No plate frost danger. In L.O.S.? ha ha. 2. Total flex location design of both Solar P.V. and tank. 3. Negates water leakage mtnce. 4. Low Press water supply negates need for steam release. 5. S/H solar P.V. panels made it very cheap. 6. Independent of A/C power avoids my home battery accidental drain. 7. Back up energy source for shorter days? or more clouds? up to your imigination/needs. Noticed in a recent article about "last power bill ever" some are using solar water panels at ground level for hot water systems, the temps are probably not great, and tanks need mounting at a higher level to prevent reverse cycling at night. This suggestion below is definately D.I.Y. whereby 6 x 250Watt second hand off grid 30V P.V. panels can be on the roof out of the way, and a 200 litre tank (max) can be anywhere. Diversification and increased thermal storage is the theme. Similar commercial designs are on the market. Screw in a 48v DC element (typically 1.6kw) into the tank with the usual 2 small links rearranged in series to make it a 96V element. Matching of the 90V panel config to that element voltage appears best. Install 2 strings of 3 P.V. panels each, to give 90V at about 16A combined, and feed that current via a 25A? safety isolation C/B, to a typical 30A 300V? D.C. Solid State Relay on a matching heat sink, to the element. Connect a very small 12v solar panel (100/200ma) via a small on/off switch, via the system's thermostat to turn the SSR on/off, and adjust the temperature up to 95 degrees if you choose, BUT then must have a tempering valve near the tank outlet to mix cold water, adjusted to give about 50 degrees, or to suit the regulations. 40 is ok for showers if the insulated feed line length doesn't lose much heat. Absorbtion type tank or low pressure design? you can work around that. If the tank has good insulation, the increased stored thermal energy can with care last many more days at 95 derees during cloudy weather, compared to the typical lower maximum temperatures of the old hot water pipe plate absorbers. Want better tank insulation? dismantle the outer skin and replace with better stuff. Need an sacrificial anode because of acidic water? Your decide. Skeptics dont bother. My system has worked amazingy for 5 years now.

It might??? have been different if only he had read the details on the policy. Did you Frits miss the details on the news source that stated:- the family has been dealt a cruel blow, discovering that the policy does not cover the exorbitant medical expenses resulting from motorcycle injuries of this nature. ? But regardless- what irresponsible person/daddy would ride without a helmet anywhere in the world? and it probably wasnt traffic that caused it! It's more than "a cruel blow" as above, that probably neither money nor surgery can fix this "deadly blow". Yes- so stupid and sad and may this news reach out to the world.
