Before I get vaccinated I want a cast iron guarantee from the hospital that they will cover any and all expenses arising from a 'sudden mystery illness' occurring within 30 days of the injection.

As a foreigner, it'd be foolish to get injected in Thailand without that guarantee.

Lets be realistic here you are never going to get that guarantee from any hospital. If thats the way you feel then your only option is to either make sure you have covid insurance or jump on that plane go back to the UK where you can at least get treated if you qualify for the NHS. Ohterwise pays your money and take your chances, get the vaccine dont get the vaccine.

The choice lies with the individuals.

Im in the same situation where i am and our only option is to pay and have the injection privately which is what has been done.

Sinovac was 1 of the options needless to say none of us that got vaccinated opted for it funniliy enough.

Huh, do you have the AZ vaccine in mind? AZ is an adenovirus vaccine, Sinovac is an inactivated virus vaccine.  And yes, AZ sucks. Sinovac is not that effective too, but is old and proven to be safe technology.

Thats a big statement saying AZ sucks ? Is that based on personal experience fact or just your hearsay ?

If your saying AZ sucks because of the problems with the rare bloodclotting thenas most people are saying the good outweighs the bad and as it still being used and reccomended there must be a little traction in that fact.

Persoonally any vaccine is better than none but again thats my opinion.

Despite a highly successful vaccine roll out, Britons are not be allowed to travel overseas. The new excuse is "variants".

Where is the actual link saying Britons are not allowed to Travel overseas ? There are already britons overseas including myself that have no travel restrictions from the country im in.

Also Britons can travel if they have a valid reason certainly not for specific holidays but the statement above is incorrcet in the fact that Britons can travel overseas and continue to do so as long as they have the required paperork or necessity to travel.

    Sure about that?

Thai road fatalities indeed horrendous, but still prefer to drive there than the UK which is all single carriageways and dawdling pensioners. ????

So in the whole of the UK there are no motorways and no Dual carriageways only single lane roads when was the last time you were in the UK the 1800's and the standard of driving in the UK is much better than that of Thailand, which also cuts down on accidents and deaths.

The way I'd look at it is, do you see any reason that the prices would go up & the offer would not be extended / enhanced?

At the moment, it's low-season, very few tourists in and out, Thai's aren't flying back so I can't see a reason for an increase in numbers/price.

Hanging off may bring a little further clarity re positions in both countries.

lol sorry but i found this hilarious at the moment its low season so very few tourists in and out.....did you think before posting that comment. I would say it is more becasue of Coived there are no tourists and it wouldnt matter if it was low or high season there would still be little or no tourists.

I would say when things are getting back to some kind iof normality and there are a rush on flights prices may change.

Please tell me about being able to remain in Thailand by maintaining 28,000 Baht in a bank I've never seen anything about it before, I'm very interested.

I think the Original poster cleared this up as it was dollars not baht.

Why should those who are vaccinated be able to travel ?

Nobody has proven that vaccination does not mean you cannot be a carrier ? You might be asymptomatic but able to carry and pass on to someone else.

Quarantine and  PCR testing has to remain in place for 2021 for everyone........vaccinated or not.

Why shouldnt those that are vaccinated be able to travel ?

So where do you live then. I imagine your 1 of these peoiple already in Thailand that hasnt got a care in the world doenst want to have PCR tests when your doing your extenisons and doesnt have covid specific insurance.

But make sure everyone else has to be PCR'd and do Quarantine what a totally selfless attitude you have.

Richard Barrow, apparently well-meaning, often whips people up into a panic based on his misunderstandings. Clearly, it would be absurd to require a Covid-19 test for extensions and it's not even what the regulations he's quoting says so this is obviously another one of his brain farts. I don't know why anyone takes him seriously.

Why would it be absurd to requrie a covid test for extension ? People on extensions exempt from catching covid are they ?   If people coming into the country have to have insurance then eveyone in country should have insurance. If people coming in need to show valid negative PCR test then stands to reason that anyone already in the country should have said test.

What a ludicrous thing to say.

it's about travellers from the UK, not about british nationals.

probably they would also barr arrivals from  south africa and few other countries, where this mutation is already present.

Sorry but your talking <deleted> there. It will be anyone with a British passport regardless where they are in the world. You simply wont be allowed to book a ticket when you have a british passport. There would be to much other problems if they tried any other way.

I could fly to dubai have acouple of weeks holiday there then get a ticket to thailand so technically im a british traveller from Dubai.
