After the plane arrived at the Bangkok airport, it was parked for three hours. The ground staff said there was a technical issue and the pilot failed the pre-departure inspection twice.”

How did the pilot fail inspection? Improper uniform? Or perhaps something more nefarious?

    He was flying half-mast ?

An over-the-top misinterpretation of what was actually reported. Again.

It was a routine checkpoint and it was not reported that he was drug-tested at the roadside, he was found in possession of the pill.

    Routine shake-down.

Paranoid I know, and playing devil's advocate, but what if the news for Songkran looks like this?

British man arrested for inappropriate sexual behavior during Khaosan road celebrations

    Swedish pickup driver kills 4
intoxicated Austrian man attacks Thai revelers

or...Twerking Thai teens demand action over large breasted wet T- shirted blondes stealing their limelight.

If fare rise during the Songkran festival period that is gouging pure and simple.

Costs per flight are already worked out, if the plane is full profits will be made.

Increasing fares due to demand is screwing the public.

No different to hotel prices when an event is on. it's how market forces work in the travel industry. However, Bangkok Air's virtual monopoly at Samui is another case altogether.

What about his wife? she said some nasty things, if you listen to it in Thai, sorry Im not repeating it here,

She'll lay claim to his assets in Thailand and share them with her police buddies, claim the lies she brazenly told were mis-understandings. and be forgiven by her people and social netizens . Most probably !😁
