There is nothing in the law to say that you should be married before your child is born in order to claim citizenship, it is whether or not your name is on the birth certificate, and even that is possible to add at a later day, although I think there was a time limit.   Some people seem to build the brick walls themselves that they then come up against.

There was something in the law that said you had to be married before 2006 after that the law in the uk changed before 2006 you had to he married or be recognised as the legal father in Thailand by court order then you could apply for the child's citizen ship in the UK but the decision would be discretionary by the home office

That 'attraction closed' scam has been running outside the Grand Palace for years; they offer a boat trip or tuk tuk tour 'while you wait for it to re-open.

I don't know why the Foreign Offices of various countries don't highlight these scams on their so called travel advice (FCO please note); also the recent advice that smoking is banned on Thailand's beaches

Its not the responsibility of Foreign offices to highlight scams their responsibility is to facilitate the smooth running of large businesses and corporations they are not there to help individual citizens

So are you paying BA in the U.K. or a Thai/overseas airline in Thailand?

Last time I paid an agent in Thailand for an EVA flight the local transaction charge was 3%. Always a decent exchange rate, and no foreign use charges, on My Nationwide Visa credit card........ note, I use credit not debit card.

im paying BA in Thai baht from Thailand  by NW debit card so they will chard me % commission and probable get a bad exchange rate

sounds like you are ready to drive a taxi in Thailand.

The cab driver should have done nothing but leave/get away. He should be held responsible for all hospital bills and stripped of his license to drive a taxi.

Lets hope the passenger does not suffer from any serious injury.

But f the punk was a Thai it would still be the foreigners fault

I think a good start would be to make any open burning illegal.

Thats burning rubbish that everyone does in their back yard or on the street.

Crearing land of stubble after harvesting is a big problem too.

Make a reward available to anyone reporting field burning or a smoky truck or bus or old desiel ute.

    And enforce pollution laws.

Every evening I smell plastic burning gives off cyanide fumes
