Malaysia I can understand, should be a great trip - careful in the troubled Southern Thai provinces though. I'd take my time taking in Thailand as well as Malaysia.
However, given the size of the island and the traffic there - is Singapore really worth the possible hassle?
Never done any of it - keep us posted on how it goes.
Yeah ! my research is suggesting I should give Singapore a miss 🙂

Hi All , a bit of local knowledge goes a long way 🙂
A friend and I are visiting Yasothon for the rocket festival next week and once parked up we do not want to use our motorbikes again until it is time to leave (beers beer more beer time loll)_ .and I have a few questions to ask.
1... Can I use my grab or bolt app to order a taxi there.??
2. What can I expect to pay to get from JP Emerald Hotel to the Park where the giant toad is (just so I know when I am getting ripped off )?.
3.. Are motorbike taxis readily available ?
4.. Can any one recommend a local driver with telephone number who can shuttles us around the city .
5..Is there a half decent Indian restaurant in the city if so name and location please
Cheers and thx in advance 🙂

I've been using the online 90'er for a few years no problems ... but this months try rejected my application attempts numerous times .. ended up having to go to my local immigration office in person 😞 ... that was accepted with out a problem. and when I asked why my online attempts were rejected I got a shrug of the shoulders and a vacant look

No, that included everything!
It's now 12500b for the standard passport and 13000b for the larger paged passport

Update ! dropped my passport off at Key Visa .... in and out in less than 5 minutes .only had to sign a blank passport application form and they do the rest ... they said it should be back within 7 weeks .. if that is correct it's well worth the money 🙂

I believe 12,000 includes the passport fee (12,500 for the "Jumbo" passport). their fee is 5,000B if you pay for the passport yourself.
I called Key visa yesterday and they quoted me 13000b for the larger paged passport 🙂

Key Visa, opposite the BigC South Pattaya.
Used them before with excellent service.
Hi . I think I'll be going with them too 🙂 ... out of curiosity how long did the procedure take from handing over your passport to having it back in your hands ??

Hi All . I have been using the online 90 day reporting successfully for the past few years .. But my last attempt this week keeps getting rejected 😞 . So I will have to bite the bullet and go to Pattaya immigration to register and hopefully sort out this problem . My question is what is the current procedure and paper work needed at the immigration office .. I have not done a 90 day report since all the alteration etc.? ,I don't fancy queueing for 30minutes to be told go to another queue .
Cheers and thx in advance 🙂 👍🙏

Hi All After years of successfully registering my 90 day report (TM47) online .This time it keeps rejecting it 😞 ... Says "Incorrect entry date upon entry into the kingdom/ Incorrect visa expiration date." check and re check all the info and it still keeps rejecting it ...Has anyone else had the same problem recently ? Is it just a glitch in the system or is it just poor old me 😞 ? . Or will I have to bite the bullet and go to immigration in person .to sort it out ?
Cheers 🙂

Hi all. I am after some local knowledge about crossing the land border at Nong Khai to Vientiane (Laos) with my Thai registered motorbike ...Question. (1) what paper work do I need for myself and my bike at the Thai side and the Laos side (immigration & Customs). (2) .. what is the best time of the day to cross? (3) what price will 3rd party insurance be in Laos for my bike (4) what is the best Sim card to buy for coverage when traveling around Laos ?
Many thanks in anticipation :-)

Yes mine too, and I formerly did my own registering online....but an agent said, in order to get a COR once, I needed the Soi 5 issued and stamped slip. I was told that was good forever, near as damn, or until I moved to another place. It is more recent that I heard a TM30 is needed each time one enters the country wrt Jomtien. It was also mentioned at an Expats Club meeting I went to. I believe your 'precaution' is warranted, or get an agent to do it.
Damned fancy new building and changed procedures... they just want to hit more people with a fine is my thoughts!
just asked google this question and got this :-
Once you re-enter Thailand using your re-entry stamp, you do not need to visit your Jomtien immigration office to re-register. Your re-entry stamp will allow you to stay in Thailand for the same amount of time as your original visa, or up to 60 days, whichever is less.
If you are staying in Jomtien for less than 30 days, you do not need to register with immigration at all. However, if you are staying for longer than 30 days, you must register with your local immigration office within 24 hours of your arrival.
Procedures for registering with immigration:
- Visit your local immigration office.
- Bring your passport, re-entry stamp, and a copy of your arrival/departure card (TM.6).
- Fill out a TM.30 form.
- Pay the registration fee (400 baht).
- Submit your documents to an immigration officer.
- You will be given a TM.7 slip, which is your proof of registration.
You must keep your TM.7 slip with you at all times while you are in Thailand. If you lose it, you can apply for a replacement at your local immigration office.
If you are staying in Jomtien for longer than 90 days, you will need to apply for a visa extension at your local immigration office before your visa expires.
Please note that these are the general procedures for registering with immigration and applying for a visa extension. There may be additional requirements depending on your nationality and type of visa. It is always best to check with the Thai embassy or consulate in your home country before you travel.

Yes I believe so, which suggests the OP needs to do a TM30 unless it will be done by his place of residence.
My place is registered under a Thai company name ... so what needs to be done??? .. My "OP" post is getting muddier muddier with each added post lol ..I think maybe as a precaution I will go to Jomtien immigration when I return better to be safer rather than sorry .

Yeah ! I am well aware I just wanted a few Riels to tide me over for the first couple of days. , plus I'll be out in the sticks where the $ is less easy to use . I'd rather have a wallet full of Riels before leaving Thailand for my road trip , I don't really like using unfamiliar ATM if I can help it ????
