In a similar vein, talking of great adages...
"its not what you look at , it what you choose to see, and its not what you hear, its what you choose to listen to."
I think that covers most of the Bser's

Probably because in many cases, the lie makes then sound or appear more interesting or affluent than the reality.
Forum lies are a whole new subject, as people on the internet often are just plain fantasizing or of course "trolling" for sport/fun at others expense. (Imho)

The problem I found was that most exercise things were just plain boring!
But shifting a pile of wood, or cutting down a load of trees by hand, digging something, or climbing up a hill was much more satisfying.

- 1800-236-236 (Toll free numbers from outside Bangkok and vicinity)
If you have had no luck or cant get a satisfactory explanation from Thai FedEx, why not contact the other end (US?) and see what they say and ask them to convey it (explain) to the Thai side, attack the problem from the other end so to speak, just a suggestion.

For modest living, the Thai Govt guidline of 65k per month (which is the requirement for an extension based on retirement) is about right in my opinion.
Obviously it depends on your individual lifestyle and that wouldnt include (as sheryl correctly pointed out) Medical insurance.

This really suited to the realestate forum.

Like so many things, little consistency and really depends who you are talking to on that day.
Someone different tomorrow and will possibly be a totally different response/outcome.

I suppose it depends when you bought them. If it was within 7 days, possibly, older than that and with wear signs its highly unlikely, but half a size too big is easily remedied with an insert, easily available, why not try that first.

Have you checked the website info http://www.fedex.com/th/

Trolling.
9) You will not post inflammatory messages on the forum, or attempt to disrupt discussions to upset its participants, or trolling. Trolling can be defined as the act of purposefully antagonizing other people on the internet by posting controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

Without adequate cover, and depending on circumstances, its quite possible to be ruined financially by health care costs.
There are many threads on this and suggest you do a simple search of the forum for a variety of experiences.

Well, obviously I am no lawyer but, a marriage in Thailand, is legal recognised in the UK, what makes you think (or know) the reverse isnt the case ?
If they were legally married in the UK, I would suspect they are legally married in Thailand too,(but happy to be corrected).
MOVING this to Married & Divorce forum for better input.

I wouldnt waste the money on a big "system", a "dummy" camera will deter most if placed in the right position.
I also have independent IP cameras indoors that have motion/IR detection and email me six rapid succession images when triggered, can be viewed and controlled through 360 degrees from anywhere via my phone, they cost 1200 baht each.

They are all pretty much the same, the problem you have is what will work in your area and location, that can vary dramatically sometimes but just a few hundred meters.
Talk to people around you, see what they use. Make a decision from there.

Nice to have the "other side of the coin" to counter the other threads.
Its easy to focus on negative, easy to make comparisons etc, but at the end of the day its your own attitude toward it that matters, and for some Geography wont change that.
Been here 10 years, had lots to learn, lots to "unlearn" but generally its a great place to be, and I enjoy a better standard of living and lifestyle here than I could ever have dreamed about in my country of origin.

True can be either, personally I use TOT Wi-Net as that's the best overall speed and performance for my particular location as they wont run cables here.(too far out)
"finding out whats there" is the key to this, as there may not even be cables in that location, so you are restricted to a "sim" and therefore that can dramatically change within a few hundred meters.
My advice would be go visit and check it out first if its an important aspect to you. If not, just wait til you arrive and chat with a neighbour as to what "works".
Why do some farang lie so much?

One of the aspects that moving to a different continent can provide is reinventing yourself to be who and whatever you want or choose, as there is no one (probably) that knows your actual story/past. Therefore certain individuals capitalise on it, thrive on it, sad really, that they feel they have to deny who and what they really are and replace it with a "story" to appear to be more interesting, or pehaps hide a shameful past.
There is of course also those that may have been through some kind of life changing event or trauma, where the reality is just too painful or even dangerous for them.
Who knows ? We all have different stories, different reasons, thats what makes many of us interesting too, be pretty boring really if we were all the same and just clones of one particular "type".
Do we ever really "know" someone ?
