I have been in both places..... but i prefer Krabi. It was much better there then in the Isaan with that heat.

Why ? In April to end May? No way! Too warm. But then again with all these "quality tourist" flocking Phuket one might consider and prefer the Isaan heat!

Strict laws about video's? If a road accidents happens everybody is filming the (dead) victim and posting it online to get their (stupid) likes on facebook. (Try that in another country and you get fined!). If they capture a criminal we al see the photo's with the complete police team behind the trophy into the media. What laws are we talking about? To me it looks like that their is not a country in the world where so much privacy is violated as in Thailand.

Does it make the outcome different or help the relatives? Why take such risk in Thailand? It is prohibited and has bad quality illegal MDMA. "A fun-loving, “fiercely independent” teenager ". Another live unnessecary wasted and destroyed just "for having fun", whatever that means to those 18 year old people. These youngsters should start using their brains instead of destroying it with drugs.

Tell that to the relatives of the people who died, maybe they are happy with your comment? I guess not as too many unessecary die every year and i do not want to be one of them. Happy Songkran!

So sad that every year so many people die and get injured during their new year festival. Not a country in the world that has this many casualties. And nothing changes that reduces this. They still drive drunk, without insurance and without a license. It is bizar! I wonder why this does not change? Who benefits from this?

Yeah right tell that to Thai people abroad..... you don't want to know how many times i have heared "This is how thai people are and how we do things....". If they had given me a dollar for every time i would have been a millionair !! What a joke.

I now know 3 close firends, expats, who killed themselves in Thailand. I don't know for this one, but the others were severe depressed and not happy in their relationship. Life was sucked out of them. No more fun. Their Thai dream was one big disappointment for them resulting in suicide. Keeps you thinking what is wrong?

I have read somewhere a couple of years ago that on main elections people get paid for their votes. They just goto some local meeting where they stand in line for a couple of hundred bahts to make sure they vote for that party (member). Don't know if this is true. Has anybody ever seen or heared this?

How can this be so much money? Is this also part of the dual pricing system?

The endless search for free money never stops. I do not believe it will ever be used for coverage of medical costs for uninsured farangs. Just another milking cow. How about the two pricing system even in hospitals? So sad after 2 1/2years of covid they ahd enough time to think about things and nothing changed. They just carry on the old way we new tricks to get your money in to their pockets.

It seems that everything is back to normal again. Nothing changed after all the time they had to tink about the past, tourism, and what went wrong. They just carry on as if nothing happened and nothing learned. So sad !
