What is the value of knowing this or going into the world records with this information? Does it contribute anything? A solution? We already new in 2020 that cats would be able to infect people as we got notifcations of such. It was already known in the fur industry that cats infected minks and minks infected people and vice versa. So what does this add to that? Is this something to be proud of?

How do they know it was the cat and not somebodyelse who infected the VET around the same time/day the cat sneezed in his face? Do they have 100% proof it was the cat?

in A recent lawsuite about dual pricing in hospitals the Judge stated that Farang had enough money and Thai had to learn English in order to communicate with the farang. That costs money and thus justifying the dual pricing...... So far not much of the Thai i met are able to communicate in correct respectable English. So where did they spend that money on? On the other hand last time i was talking to a monkey in a National park and he responded the same way as when a Thai was talking to him. He grabbed the food and ran. So apparently that money also does not get any English education. (road/information) Signs in English are very often wrong spelled or contain wrong translations. Also makes me wonder what do they do with the extra money? Wealthy Thai, and there are enough of them, also are not charged according their income. There is no country in the world where they charge different prices for medical care then in Thailand. There are countries that have dual pricing for tourist attractions. Thailand sees it self as one of the top countries for tourism. It doesn't feel that way once you visit these parks where they charge you 10 x more then domestic people. It is a disappointment every time. Its not about the money as that money will get spend anyway somewhere else in Thailand. Its all about the feeling you get when entering such park or attraction. I rather give it to a temple, some old woman/man besides the streets or a tip for a waitress in a restaurant (or even in a national park in a donation box) because it makes me feel good to give it out of free will then rather being forced to spend it because i am a "Farang who an afford it" (says who?). Some Farang have to save money for years to buy for such trip to Thailand. The dual pricing system does not make me spend more in total in Thailand. It just forces me to reevaluate my expenses on something else. But it is like talking to a piece of concrete. Nobody listens and nobody cares as it does not affect their wallet. So it is not their problem. The signal "we don't care about you Farang" is loud and clear!

He made 2 mistakes. 1) He started thinking.... as he thought to surprise his Thai girlfriend.... Didn't he read the sticker saying "Only warranty until you leave the city!"? 2) Leaving A Thai Girl friend alone in Pattaya in his condo. This could only last until incoming money dried up or another idiot with more money came along. How naïeve can one be? Another one that had to learn the Thai hard way of "Love you long time".

Do not try to convince her of the opposite as any bad luck happening after the moment you said such will be your fault and will last until you say something that makes her win again. Which can take a very long time. Until then you have to deal with the sourness and the angry face looking at you every day.

I know a lot of Thai that have not been vaccinated at all. So they have no requirements? Whereas fully quadrupple vaccinated foreigners still need a Thailand pass? I am sorry it will be still be a NO GO ! I will visit another country again this year. Bye Thailand !

I totaly agree to that but.... You should come to the Netherlands and tell this to all people who want to live here from abroad and trying to change everything and complain about everything that is part of our culture and complain everything our ancestors did in the past against other people and countries. They want to change the country. They want aplogies. They want compensation. They demand housing, social security etc etc etc. And still even if they get it they keep on complaining. It is never enough. Its has to go both ways as Thailand also benefits from all the expats, farangs, tourists.

Stop the Thailand Pass system, The extra covid insurance, Just open the borders and they will come. We all have travel and health insurance which cover anything while being abroad as long as Thailand is not a RED -zone covid area on entry. And Thailand is no Red-zone covid area. So why do i need a extra (local) covid insurance? Just for filling someones wallets? Vaccination passports will soon be worthless as the positive effects from vaccines wear off. So why still bother about this? It is endemic. And yes some will die, but they also do catching a flu!

It has nothing to do with the word Farang but everything with the intonation and the facial expression when people use it. You can almost feel and see the aversion when some Thai people use the word "Farang". It is the same as when some "Farang" talk about "Thai". Look at their faces and the intonation they use. it says ALL.

Thank you for your detailed reply. But let me clarify what i ment as i was comparing the Thai numbers to my country. We had over 8 million infections and about 22.500 deaths, In Thailand you have about 4 million cases and 26.500 deaths. So you would have about 50.000 deaths at 8 million cases. My question was about that huge difference. It is double what we have. I was not comparing it to the rest of the world. Just wondering how this could be that high in comparison to my country. Thailand people got vaccinated just like in my country. So why the difference in death cases. Thank you

I do not understand why Thailand has such a high deathrate on such low covid cases a day. We did not have that much people die of covid when we had about 90.000 news cases a day. Why does this happen in Thailand?

After 25 years nothing changed. So who is to blame for this?

The moment Tourist start coming with over 10k a day the Thailand Pass system fails. Time to abandon that system or keep tourist numbers low and be happy with that.

Still afraid of covid cases getting out of control. A pitty as this will not help at all in the longrun. It is only postponement of the inevitable that everybody needs te get infected and build their own antibodies. Look what happened in Spain, Denmark, Sweden, UK, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France after they abolished all restrictions. There was a short spike in cases for about 4 weeks and then a even harder drop to a number that can easily be controlled and handled. Not more deaths the a flu. Thailand is killing all businesses. What is worse? The biggest mistake Thailand made is the way to slow vaccination program and gambling on the inferior sinovac vaccin. Waiting, waiting, waiting.... not proactive ordering and buying vaccines, but waiting and waiting... why? Why did they wait that long?

I hope to be a billionair by the end of 2022... It probably (most likely) will not happen ????

I am so sad to read this. Why did nobody help her? If i had seen this nothing would have stopped me from helping her. Even with risk for my own life.

And where do we send the Thai that steel? A very discriminating solution. If we would send everybody home (or better out of the country) who did something wrong then Thailand would be empty soon. And so would be Europe or any other country. This is not the way. They should forec the guy to pay with a fine that the next time he will consider paying instantly and not steel anymore. Sending everybody away is not the solution.

Don't believe in it that it will happen soon given how things have been going the last 2 years in Thailand. So this year we visit again another country i guess. I will not travel under the current restrictions to Thailand.
