It was just how the wind was blowing. That kept most people away from visiting Thailand. Did he not see how tourism was booming in Europe and in many countries outside Europe last year?

Well You can say that for most foreigners who try to speak Thai. They can not string a correct Thai sentence together. Its harder to speak Thai then to speak English. So where does it go wrong as English is a pretty easy language to learn?

Amazing and sad the speed that old habits get reinstated in Thailand. The land of smiles has a very dark side. Why does this happen? There is totaly no need for such agression.

I want to see any court convicting the person who brought back the wallet. No evidence that he took the money. Why would he take 6000 baht and only return 1000? He could have just taken all and throw the wallet away. This is stupid.

With Thailand opening up after the covid pandemic the number of negative news items, robbery, fraude and scams are increasing exponentially. Old habits are rapidly reinstated again. It could have been the opportunity to change stuff, but no, they rather take the easy way making money on behalve of the tourists by scams and robbery. Land of smiles is showing it's true identity again. Sad !

This is doing more harm to Thailands Tourism then one can imagine. People do not mind paying for accomodation, but they do mind being treated differently because of where they come from. Could Thailand now be the place to book a holiday? Now? NO ! That ship has already sailed. Thailand waited way too long in lifting the covid 19 restrictions. People book their holidays starting from januari-may in Europe. Thailand announced in june that restriction are gonna be lifted in july and announced 2 days ago that mouthmasks are no longer needed. Did they expect the whole world to wait for that? Maybe other parts of the world that have winter now. But in Europe most people have already booked their holidays and they did not bet on Thailand as every signal coming from there was not very promissing regarding the lifting of the "stupid" Thailand Pass system. I know many who wanted to go to Thailand this year but booked elsewhere because of the restrictions and the "Thailand Pass" system.
