i'm fortunate because madame palmers family (mother/ father/ brothers & sisters) all speak extremely good american english...
yes, the family did initially regard me as a farang sex-pat who was only after one thing... as a pre-caution her father (a major in the thai police), unknown to me at the time had me 'checked' out in the UK before agreeing to let me court his daughter... fortunately i came up to scratch regarding my education, family background & financial status...

for those with young kids... this is probably the best post i've seen in ages... sadly i'm in chang mai but may contact you to see how it goes...
i am most interested to learn what you guys are doing about schooling the little monkies... i/we really don't want to send ours to a native school, so the only real alternative is to send her to an ex-pat school & bite the bullet over the relatively high school fees...

if you do negotiate a 'longtime' service with your bg, you generally should not expect them to also provide a maid service... if they do offer to iron your shirts & scrub your gussets then all well & good...
usually, if you want this then you should request it well in advance and negotiate a total fee. some will be willing, some won't... in many cases they are more likely to agree to anal sex than doing your laundry

Lady email scam - iTV documentaryiTV (a local Thai TV station) aired a documentary about a foreign man who was scammed 200,000 baht by a Thai lady via email, who sent him her photo and mobile number, spoke politely, offered a relationship and implicitly sex, and cried on the phone saying she needed hospital money or she would die of leukemia. After sending the money to her bank, he got suspicious. An iTV crew with a private investigator tracked her down. She was a fat and ugly lady with a computer, photos of pretty ladies in her room (some whom she knew), and lots of money.
This is not uncommon, as well as similar scams using email, mobile phones, landline call centers and proxies to answer the phones. Expats overseas are more vulnerable, but the scammers do these kinds of things to Thai men as well.
These scams hurt innocent Thai ladies "by association" (nationality). Many Thai ladies are sincere. However, the email scams are on a rapid rise.

...i suggest that the bg/ bb scene (a cheap & plentiful supply of both male & female prostitutes) are a prime motivational factor for many farangs who visit or work in the los... therefore it's only natural for them to want to discuss their experiences on boards such as these... it's a simple as that... a certain segment of the tv membership enjoy it...
...threads are all about opinions, and it would seen that if one's opinions fly in the face of the status-quo, certain members get irate & abusive. i have no need of multiple ids. on the tv personally... not when i have some many members 'gagging' to post in my threads...
