Greece has made an art out of defaulting on loans. They should be good at it as they have been doing it for the last 190 years, they think it is normal to just not pay any loans back. Maybe their party is over this time. They are acting like spoiled brats, and the world is watching.

Asian Correspondent piece - 'justice looks elusive'. Also mentions police admission that they had lost evidence
http://asiancorrespondent.com/134045/thailand-justice-looks-elusive-in-koh-tao-murders-trial/
Can't you read?
Where does it say the word lost?
If you eat all of the apples and somebody asks you if they can have one do you reply "no, I have lost them"!!!
Lucky go back and read it again, it definitely says the word "lost". If you don't see the word "lost" keep rereading it until you do.
Here is a hint.
Lt Col Somsak told BBC that the samples had either been lost - or that only sufficient for 1 test. Defence wanted to verify independently.

Thats why i wear a plane ticket around my neck. The 3 baht chain would always get enough for a return ticket if it should be ever needed. I cannot see that happening as keep access to a decent amount I keep offshore of Thailand. But my ticket is always being worn in case.
Great idea no one will ever find that plane ticket hidden around your neck.

When did they move the ocean to Hua Hin or maybe Hua Hin to the ocean?
Isn't Hua Hin on the water? Last time I checked it was?

70% can not adapt to our wesetern life and to live here,
they will take the next chance to settle back to Thailand;
20% not happy, but try somehow to stay - but every day discussions
10% can and will stay ;
Therefore i never tried to get my one here, except 1 week for a sight seeing,
that a country side also can be clean and not dirty as Thailand;
Your wife took the first chance to settle back;
this 705 have also less problems to give their kids away for their own well being;
You have spend your capital, only small rent which not sotisfy her family, for which Thais always have to take care -
they dont have our social welfare - this your fault not to study thai society before you married her !!
Now , as one already mentioned, immigration will not allow you to leave with your son, without permit
from his mother ; Forget to fight on family court - needs time and money !!
Bring your son back and take your staff,
rent a small cheap apartment - wait 2 month,
give her only your phone number - best a new simm card, wich you use only with her ;
if she not back with some serious proposal - leave - you are free,
Dont agree on some higher amount for your sons life , she will use the money most for her wellbeing,
to spend with her old thai friend and husband,
your son she will leave just to the grands;
Sorry, thats what you can expect from not high educated village girls,
Good luck,
Frank
Sorry Frank but you don't have a clue about Thais relocating to another country.
I live in another country with my thai wife and she could not be happier. She has dozens of thai friends in the same situation and all are extremely happy.
In fact some do not even bother to go back to thailand for holidays preferring to visit other countries instead, and bringing close family out for visits.
Your 70% guess is probably closer to 7%.

Maybe the money to build the mosque could be better spent cleaning up their own religion (Isis) first. But that is not going to happen is it. I'm starting to wonder if there is such a thing as a moderate muslim. Taqiyya.

Another one looses everything. When are the old men going to wake up?
Not restricted to old or men.
I seem to remember quite a few women on current affairs programs having been fleeced of everything by the opposite sex.

I didn't know the military were in charge then?So when Suthep and his boys shut down Bangkok and did all that crap the military just sat back and let it happen and now monks are walking they want to get involved. Odd?

I hope your not an English teacher.Simply a note to the author of the title of the headline. Thailand is 'a' country (singular), and thus it 'agrees'. If the conjunction 'and' is....... Oh! whatever..... I GIVE UP.
Grammar Nazi on the loose.

The questions have not been chosen yet so it may well be just 5.
The article also states many of the over 20 questions received are the same question referring to exact losses.
20 questions is 20 questions way too many. Only five pertinent questions need answering, in order to lay blame with accuracy. Otherwise it is an easy shift of blame and a get out clause offer - or waiver of charges against the constitution. Nobody, in any position, seems to understand the simplicities, and all seem to want to over-complicate matters, and that can only be for one of two reasons, namely: 1) fear, or 2) graft!

Word on the street is the conventional oil boys are doing this to drive out the shale oilers who on average cost $80 barrel to produce. It won't take long to give them the message they can do this at anytime they please.
Big boy games. If you were heavily invested in shale oil I would be getting a little worried.

Nothing to do with corruption.
A political purge.
Yes I'm sure they gained all this wealth from recycling water bottles, couldn't possible be from corruption. His confession was obviously beaten out of him.

1 total for me none in falangland either. Looks like by far the majority is 1, probably not what the op originally thought.

Sorry, but it's not the British taxpayer that is responsible for repatriation. That's what travel insurance is for.JOC, on 22 Nov 2014 - 13:21, said:
What about the British Embassy for once doing the decent thing??
Get the poor guys body home and worry about the monetary aspects later!!
I note the victim's friend states:
Mr Russell, a chef, said: "I always thought that a British passport was a ticket to get back home if anything happens to you but it does not work like that
"If you are not insured, then your family and friends have to raise the money to repatriate."
His friend, Jon Russell, said: "The plan was to move to Thailand, find a job and live there and when you live there you don't really get travel insurance."
http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-bristol-30142309
Well, you do get travel insurance if you want to save your friends and family the trouble of raising the money themselves. I note that nearly £11,000 has been raised on a fundraising page for the victim's body to be repatriated.
If you have an accident abroad and are lucky enough to survive then repatriation will cost in excess of £30,000.
As much as I have sympathy for the young man and his family and friends, the small cost of insurance saves additional heartache if something untoward occurs whilst abroad.
This happens so often and is well documented but still people do not learn.
Anyway, RIP to Mr Austin.
Sorry friend but if you think travel insurance is a small cost then you know nothing about it at all.
If you are going somewhere for a 2 week holiday it is expensive enough but after that you can say goodbye to your testicles, wallet and watch.
It costs about a dollar a day for a 12 month basic cover.

Does anyone know when the video was made? I remember seeing at least part of this video quite some time ago.

If you are in a hurry to get home then take a taxi.
.
Clutchclark I'm guessing you are not familiar with Pattaya? If you are in a hurry not sure you will find a taxi, but you will certainly find a baht bus.

They are catching up to Cambodia with their go slow processing in immigration so you pay a fee to get fast tracked. Cambo has been doing it for years at Poipet.

My Mrs went to Bangkok Business College and studied accounting, I'm not sure what they were teaching but it sure as hell wasn't accounting.

Can't the NCPO release a press release stating that if any media outlet mentions any future statements from wanted convicted fugitives living abroad will be bought in for questioning and be taken off air or closed down.
Out of mind out of sight.
I would not usually agree with a military run system of government, but this one seems to be working so well, so far anyway.
It's like a strict preschool teacher taking control of a bunch of spoilt brats that keep stealing all the other kids lollies.

The guy across the road from me has a few cows and he never seemed to do anything with them so a couple years ago I asked him what he does with them, simple answer "sell kee" so now I buy cow manure from him for my fruit trees. Before I just shovelled it off the road onto the trees, never knew I was stealing his poo, whoops.

They don't have to ship fresh milk, the cows are in Thailand. It has nothing to do with where the company is based.From the Meiji Corporate website
http://www.meiji.com/english/corporate/data/network/
"Dairy Products
Meiji established the joint venture CP-Meiji Co., Ltd., in 1989 to manufacture and sell milk and yogurt products in Thailand. The company has captured the leading market share in the Thai market for chilled milk with the growing recognition of meiji brand milk, while increasing sales of cream and other institutional dairy products.
In March 2011, Meiji established Meiji Dairies (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., in China, which began manufacturing and selling milk and yogurt in December 2013. In 2013, we launched Meiji Bulgaria Yogurt series in Thailand and Shanghai, China. These products are gaining popularity as the first real yogurt to be available in those areas."
So I have to ask,
1. do you imagine they are shipping fresh milk from China to Thailand?
2. Are you thinking aircraft carrying liquid milk?
3. If by container on a ship, how would they preserve it?
Just wondering, maybe you have an explanation how they transport their fresh milk from China to Thailand without it going off?

18 months ago I was riding the back way to my home in Nakhon Phanom and only about 500 meters from my house out comes this cat in front of me, it was about the size of a medium dog with a great patern on it. I followed it for about 100 meters and then it darted back into the bush. As soon as I got home I googled it and it turned out to be a Clouded Leopard, almost hunted to extinction for its coat. Hopefully no one has eaten it yet as happens with most other wildlife around here.
