Good habits. Thais are always above board in their personal and business dealings. Their word is their bond. Charitable giving by the Thai rich is massive and publicly known. Thais take so much responsibility for their actions and behavior it makes others feel inferior. Thais never expect anything special or to be treated differently. Thai respect for law and rules of the road is amazing. Thais work very diligently , always deliver on promise, and know and understand the concept of achievement. Thais respect others in every endeavor especially the poor and foreign persons. Thais are extremely knowledgable and well read. Thais hold personal character and morality in very high esteem and would never sell out.

I saw it on tv about 10 years ago, goes like this: they have a case full of black money, the top ones are REAL dollar bills covered in black water paint, they then put one of the real ones in water (they say its a special chemical) the black paint washes off and hey presto a dollar bill. The dumb mark then wants to buy the whole case. "wow Dumb & Dumber".

I think someone could make a lot of money if they marketed a chemical that made mother-in-laws disappear without a trace, could make a fortune!

From internet scammers, identity fraud, drug dealers, drug couriers, gun smugglers, and everything that is bad in this world are from them! so tell us why do all of us don't have a good impression on this kind of people?

I would guess there are no native English reporters at PDN, they did a story on me when I had a problem (attacked by a Thai druggy) when they did have and old English guy working there, and even then they twisted up all the facts and published utter garbage.

1. I personally know several New-Zealanders & Australians none are sheep sheppards

2. I am British and sometimes not so proud to be so but generally the majority are honest and honorable.

3. I know many Americans some do have guns but I don't know if they are dangerous! only one I know rides horses but so do I when I go there.

4. I don't know any Arab terrorists and I have traveled extensively throughout the middle east and including 2 trips to Iran (They are generally very nice people)

5. Some French I know are arrogant and the ones from Paris are very arrogant, but that I don't consider a bad trait if they have something others don't have (which they do)

Etc. etc...

However I do know of 4 Nigerians and one is a drug mule the other 2 are internet scammers (know personally on line through my work) and one is a confidence-trixter living right here in Thailand.

Firstly my country as you call it is the UK and its not safe in all areas and its hard work to be comfortable (in fact the weather is not usually "comfortable")

I moved to Thailand for many reasons number one is the people, I think the majority are generally very pleasant (There are some exceptions as in any country)

The second reason for living here is the weather.

The third reason is the lack of competition in business and the easy work attitude.

When I was living in London 30 years ago I was working for the British government and Somali families I knew were all on Social security payouts and none wanted to work, this is a fact and I am not making any judgements on them.

Throughout my life I have known a few black people from various parts of the world and in fact one of my best friends at college was from Zambia.

Commendable, but before any serious steps can be made, the government must reduce to age of consent to 15 as other western countries are proposing, also penalties for abuse, exploitation and rape have to become not only more severe but must be enforced and closed to bribery.

I think all governments of the world should be looking at reducing the amount of vehicles on the roads, and in Thailand they (government) needs to expand, improve and replace the railway system so car numbers can actually be CUT.

I agree... could very well be a competitor trying to discredit (sucesfully) Oishi. This is very easy to stage, just bring a morsel of food from the dustbin in a little plastic bag thats already crawling with maggots.

What the news item failed to mention is that the Thai women thought they were conning a farang and just went along with sending money thinking there was an open opportunity to eventually cheat them.
